Looking more and more clear that we're going to end up needing to trade one of Smart or Rozier. I think they both deserve some time to run the second unit. I'd rather keep Smart, who I think has the higher ceiling and is the better overall player. But I also think he'd bring back quite a bit more than Rozier in a trade, too, so who knows.

I see what you're saying but I disagree. I think they work well enough together.

They work decently well together, but I think they're both clearly future starters in the league. I think either of them could eventually replace IT in the starting lineup.
Rozier has a much higher ceiling.

Like them both and I think we shouldn't trade either but Roz looks like he has all star ability in him.

If you don't care that Smart might be the best defensive guard in the NBA sure.

Which is why I like the idea of keeping both.

I would not even consider moving Rozier at this point.  It's tough to know what his ceiling is.  I wouldn't have said that a month ago.

I feel the same way but when Smart's defense is so unbelievable his ceiling is extremely high.  Rozier has not been as good on either side of the ball as Smart has since day 1 on defense.

I give the nod to Roz but it's a good thing we are debating this. I have a feeling this is going to be a fun topic throughout the season.

Smart vs Roz

The issues with trading Smart or Rozier is we wont be able to completely analyze either to make a effecient  guess on whos cieling is higher. Obvious same reasons smarts value is probably higher.. smarts the safe pick and rozier is the crap shoot. With the amount of assets and core players were developing, i think ifba smart package sounds right, rozieris worth a shot. If all fails, we just draft a point guard. Were do for a small gamble. I dont see us really taking a huge hit on defense with Smart gone as it may seem as his defense isvisually stunning at times

Edit: sorry for typoz
