Hey Rollie, I am really looking forward to what this guy can do for us in the future.

Can you explain what you mean by he boxes out old school, or namely what you mean by its called a negative? From most reports I have seen, his boxing out was one of his strengths.

Thank you, I appreciate it.

Thanks rollie I just read the article. I am not so sure I agree with their assessment. If they even mentioned what that trick was, then I would say maybe. But as they stated it, I am not a fan of their analysis.

I'd be dubious of any source that claims Zizic was the most-hated pick for the Celtics this year
I'm bitter.

Australia's national team is comparable / better than ours, though, so maybe they know something we don't know. Because FIBA.

Well, you did think they would lose by 40 so, yeah, maybe you should frequent that site.

Nice thread as always rollie.

From what I've seen of Zizic so far, he is a good finisher at the rim with both hands, plays well the pick and roll and has quick feet and arms for a player of his size.

What's even better, there is not much to criticize to his game esp. if you take into account that he is only 19. I mean, I have like everyone else, read that he is a bad passer and somehow unpolished, but this is nothing major really.

No one knows with certainty how young players will develop, but I can imagine Zizic being a starter for a contender one day, and this is not bad at all for a pick in the early 20s.

Yep, on draft night, it was Brown by a large margin.

Oh yes, I have noticed that things have changed in this respect  ::)

IIRC Zizic was pretty much the only pick a large majority of vocal posters liked. I kinda remember a few people talked about Bentil as a good selection but a lot of people cheered the Zizic pick and most would have taken him at 16 if a few other guys were gone (most were)!

Nah, he wasn't close to being the most disliked pick. From memory, he was probably the most liked pick by the people who posted, I honestly don't remember anyone saying anything other than they would have taken the lakers guy but Zizic was their second choice which made it okay! I also didn't hear boos when he was picked but they booed JB so loud that you would think his last name was Boo!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

I can only hope you're right about Zizic.

Having watched Zubac dominate summer league, and having read multiple reports of his teammates suggesting he'll be the next Marc Gasol I can't help but think the Celtics risked missing out on a great prospect because they felt comfortable with their draft and stash bigs - namely Zizic.

I still have no idea why they couldn't just draft the top two European Centers in a draft where they had 8 picks.  It seems a massive misstep to me.

Perhaps Danny mixed up Zubac and Zizic. Like Star bellied Sneetches. Dr. Suess.

Either way Zizic is a good pick.
Zubac may be to.
But i'd rather have a zic
Than a bac
In my crew.
