I would say if we could keep at least two of each preferably in Crowder, Smart, Bradley, or Brown. I can see a duo of Westbrook and Cousins being the perfect duo to really give GSW/Cavs the most trouble out of any team.

I'm not convinced GSW is invincible, since they literally gave up their bench, and are nothing but a super team full of the best shooters in the history of the NBA. But their post defenders in Varejao, Pachulia, etc, are pretty much getting up there in age, and going to eventually get injured or unable to stop the beast that is DMC.

Could we go out and get these two? These two are the perfect players next to each other. Passionate, violate, and hungry to win a championship.

  • That's turrible
Cousins alone would get us over the Warriors. If we learned anything about that OKC series, it's going big and bullying the shooters is the way to go with beating GSW.

Cavs are more difficult because they have really good big men and the best two way player in the game. We'd have to really outsmart them to beat them in a series.

I think Cousins is how are you pitching it.  The way to beat them is inside.  And Cousins can shoot so still allows you to space the floor if you want to.  One of his real strengths for a big is taking guys off the dribble and I would love to see him do that with space.  If you could space out the current GSW roster and have Boogie attack them it would be a big advantage.

Not that Westbrook wouldn't be effective but IT already has done some work against them as a PG.  Clearly Westbrook can do but I just think Cousins, being a C, would be great to throw against these small ball teams and still allow our team to space the floor and run the current system.

Length and bigs to throw at GSW is the best tactic.  Brings to mind, unfortunately, the Pau-Bynum Lakers team that worse us out inside without Perk playing game 7.   The perimeter defenders on the team are already great to throw at them.

I think one thing Cousins is really good at is getting very physical. His emotions is his weakness. If we ever go far in the playoffs, I see him more or less like a Draymond Green. If he lets his emotion gets the best of him, he will affect his team is a very bad way.

I agree if we have westbrook and cousins we will give the Cavs problems as Cousins will abuse Love mentally. But we will still have no answers for LeBron.

Against GSW We never had a problem matching them offensively..  Their Vaunted Defense never slowed down our Pace game.. And now they took a huge hit defensively..

What do Cousins and Wess provide us defensively will be the key to us beating the warriors.

As for Beating The Cavs.. I think we would have the horses with those 2 but the game will be chippy and super physical and I wonder how Cousins would perform in that element.  When we play them in Sac We use to get under his Skin with Marcus ..

I like Westbrook but not as a 1 yr rental.  makes IT a 6th man.  Will he play Steven's offense?  Will he sign a contract?  Cousins would be great too but is he a good teammate?  Will these guys listen to Stevens?

Personally I think on paper the Warriors should win every single game they play and should be completely ashamed of themselves every time a team manages to miraculously beat them.

I think you could add Blake Griffin + Russell Westbrook + DeMarcus Cousins to this team without removing a single asset and it would still lose to Golden State in 5.

Matchups??

Cousins would be beastly against the thin GS frontcourt.

So you're saying if Celtics had those 3 plus Jae Crowder, Avery Bradley, and Marcus Smart (without removing a single asset) they'd still lose to the Warriors in 5? Idk, but that backcourt defense can stop GSW. Celtics front court is easily the best front court in the NBA with Horford and Cousins. I believe the Celtics beat the Warriors in 5 with that lol.

You won't give Jaylen Brown a chance will you. I think that kid might be better than Ingram and Simmons.

OK who can come off the bench for GS? Starting five is probably better than Bird, Parish, McHale, DJ, and Ainge but they can't play a combined 16,000 regular season minutes and another 3200 playoff minutes to finish 98 and 0 can they?

I would agree. If there are two superstars I want on the C's Westbrook and COusins are my two and I think they give Cavs and GSW a good run for their money.

Yeah. Basically.  It's not the even the unprecedented collection of talent on Golden State that should worry people, though having an unprecedented 4 all-NBA players on a single team should indeed worry people.  It's the fact that they all compliment each other so well.  It's basically Home Run Derby Basketball.  Durant can already score on double teams at will from anywhere on the court, because he's one of the most dynamic and versatile scores in NBA history.  You put him on a 73 win team with two of the greatest shooters of all time - forget it.  Check mate.   This decade is over.  Throwing a bunch of mismatched start talent together isn't going to counter that.

That's actually not true. With Stevens he would not allow that to happen. Preposterous. We would lose in 6 games.

Well, GSW will only be defeated by Durant's foot and Curry's ankles flaring up at the wrong time .... so while they are formidable and in their prime --- truly primed in ridiculous fashion --- the injury bug always hovers over any team.

This year LAC had the opening but injuries derailed them! Gotta load up as best we can and play it out,  hopeople for breaks an DC trust in Brad.

I think Cousins is the only guy Danny breaks the piggy bank for.
