Don't know if you heard, but Steven's said the decision is still open on whether or not Yabu is going overseas or not.

I do hope he makes it and I'm going to include him in the twelve man rotation. My question is how many bonafied shooters would you say we have now, to me it is looking better.

Also Hunter shot a poor 30% from three on all his attempts last year, But 46% on open three's better than Steph Curry, so he needs to focus on taking good shots. Anyway... here is what I hope to see barring trades.

 Horford, Amir
 Kelly, Jonas, Yaba-daba-du
 Crowder, Brown
 Bradley, Smart, Hunter
 Thomas, Rozier

I think, Thomas, Avery, Hunter, Crowder, Jonas and Kelly are all Shooters while Horford shot .344% from three last year in his first year really shooting three's. And Yabu shot .430% I reckon last year on 62 attempts I believe.

So that's a possible 8 guys out of a 12 man rotation that can really knock down shots and especially three's which is very encouraging  :police:

zero, the answer is zero.

Horford is not a shooter. he's like everyone else on the roster - he can hit outside shots occasionally.

Really only one: Avery Bradley.  Even that is debatable.

Also note there is a difference between a shooter and a scorer.

Jonas and Kelly can shoot the three decent.   Many of our guys are suspect shooters though.  Losing Sully will hurt us on the boards but ought to give us a nice boost for shooting if only Smart can improve.

Not sure if Olynyk counts. Its like every game he flips a coin whether he'll suck or not.

Since the topic is shooters, I saw today that Steve Novak is still in the market. Would make sense for us to get him ?  He could come for cheap, is a good locker room vet, wouldn't cause any trouble for lack of playing time. Can hit the 3 pointer and get minutes as SF or PF. What do you guys think ?

He was 14th in the NBA in 3-point percentage. He's most definitely a shooter.

Everyone in the starting lineup can shoot threes.
It should be interesting.

Not nearly enough.
*CB Miami Heat*
Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

We have lots of shooters on this team, just no consistently elite shooters that can give us a high amount of made shots. Yes, KO hit at 40% last year but he doesnt take those threes unless he is wide open and has confidence that night. It would be great to have at least one guy with a Kyle Korver, Klay Thompson,  or even Anthony Morrow type consistency and volume of three point shots made.

Isaiah was 17th in the League in 3pt made with 167 at a .359 clip. He is our best "shooter"

Horford (88) made more 3pt shots than Olynyk (85) in 15/16. To be a shooter you need volume.

and btw,

Both Bradley and IT4 had a better percentage and more makes than Hayward. Those are our "shooters". No one else count on our team besides those two.

I agree, the answer is zero. Ainge keeps saying how we need to add shooting, but he hasn't addressed this at all yet.

And, if there is any trade going down Bradley is on the top of the other teams 'want' list.
