He was projected to go undrafted. We only picked him up because it's better to put him in DL than get someone we won't be able to sign.

I was laughing when Nader and every other guy on our SL roster blew by Bender last night like he was in quicksand.  Elite athlete.  Excellent lateral quickness.  Can guard all 5 positions.  HAHAHAH!  Every time I watch Bender play will be like Christmas, and watching Kris Dunn tear up the league is going to be torture for McDonagh.

The comparison to Porzingss cracks me up - mainly because they're both tall white foreigners.  There is no comparison given that Porzigis is so much stronger and plays with an edge.  Bender's got a long, long way to go before he's ready to play in the league.

"Stash" is not the correct term, he will still count as a roster spot so essentially it means he makes the team. 

The "stashed" players overseas have decent contracts with their teams but the NBA teams still holds their rights.  This is generally a mutual arrangement such that the player can make some decent money, get experience and still have the possibility of making it back to the NBA.

You think the C's are going to use on of their 15 spots on him? I would be completely shocked if that happened.

They used a roster spot on JYoung the last two years! Why not a guy like Nader who is twice the player and yet to step on the court in the NBA.  He's quick, can shoot, has good handles and frankly has shown more than any of this years picks!  Think he has a great shot at making the team as backup SF!

Joking aside, anytime you are picked 58th and show even a hint of a pulse, it's a huge positive.

If I hadn't looked it up, I would've sworn Nader was at least 6'8".  He plays big.

This is correct. TheVertical reported this on draft day. Also, I refuse to get excited about a 22-year old 6'6 PF. That's the type of player that thrives in SL/DL settings; if I had to guess, I'd say he'll never play an NBA game in a Celtics uniform.

I've only seen him play in part of one Summer League game. He looked pretty good. Not yet sold on a roster spot for him, but thought he might have a chance to move ahead of Miller should there be an opening. 

FWIW: His wing span is 7'1".

I personally like Brown even more than I did on draft night.  He's 1-2 years away, but he is aggressive and he lives at the FT line.  He's shown some impressive flashes on D that I didn't know were there.  I think the pick will hold up.

Just a tidbit on Abdel Nader:

Nader played small forward during his time at Iowa State. He averaged 12.9 points, five rebounds and 1.5 assists in 35 games for the Cyclones. He shot 48.7 percent from the field, including 37 percent from three-point range.

He's 6'6" 230 with a 7'1" wingspan.
