I'm guessing a Butler trade won't happen until the season starts and there's friction between him and Rondo. I think they'll ultimately have to look to trade him when they underachieve even more than they were going to in the first place and realize how far off they truly are. The price should come down a bit then.

I'd offer Rozier, Young, Memphis 1st and LAC 1st for Okafor
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Unless we are able to do a deal for something other than the two Brooklyn picks, I don't see the point.  I don't want Okafor and Butler isn't a huge upgrade over Bradley, especially at the price when we could probably make a run at Hayward in the off season for nothing.  Maybe if we keep our options open, and cap space, someone can just fall to us for practically nothing.

Butler is a much better player than Bradley. Much better handle and ability to guard 1-3 and some 4's.

Butler was too 5 in MVP running before he got injured last year

I would do AB, Smart and 18 brk plus other picks

It               Rozier
Butler       Hunter
Crowde .  Brown
Horford    Mickey
Amir.         KO

Exactly and it's not close between AB and Butler. Butler is a top 15-20  player in the league.  Bradley is know where near that.  Plus Butler is about 4 inches taller.

These rumors are getting tiring honestly.  It's a new one every day or an old one or more of the same. We are pursuing so and so.  When something actually happens wake me up.

News out of Chicago is Jimmy Butler sold his house an is now renting. I live in the pizza capital of the world and heard this tonight kinda interesting.

TP. I actually think that is a fair offer for both teams. Someone email this to Ainge.

Come on man. That's fair for Us. Not the 76ers.

You're underrating the Memphis pick?

Any non-Brooklyn pick offer for Okafor is a non-starter. Laughable homerism.

There's no way the Sixers would accept that.

Yeah I think both Cousins and Butler are in season trades. Westbrook is the only guy who's really available right now. I think reality will set in at OKC and they'll move him after the season gets going for a month or two.

I bet Chicago just keeps shopping Butler and then punting trade talks for Butler at the last moment. Kings? Who knows what the Kings do.

Lol okay dude. What choice does philly have. No team has even been interested and they have 3 centers. They have no leverage. But let's throw logic out the window and pay more than we need to. Thank god you guys aren't the gm.

He never said he would pay more, just that it would take more for Philly to do it.  Thinking that it's too much for the Celtics and not enough for Philly aren't mutually exclusive
I'm bitter.

They have too many centers....and we have too many guards. Plus, there are other teams interested in trading for those Brooklyn picks + players on our roster with bargain contracts.

Not to mention, we are a 40+ win team with Unprotected 1st picks that are likely to be in the Top 5... so who do you think has more leverage?

Overreaction on my part. But I don't think the celtics will offer any Brooklyn pick for him imo.
