  • Ainge *still* has a Posse! Ubuntu Y'all
The players I think come available as soon as this Feb. that Ainge will go after, have been mentioned:

- Cousins -- unless he just clicks with Joeger (which isn't impossible) I think he's moved at the deadline

- Griffin -- unless LAC is miraculously a 2/3 seed at the deadline I think they move him.

- Harden -- Some un-Morey-like FA signings this weekend; Is he on shaky ground and if so does the next GM ship Harden and some bad contracts (Gordon, Anderson) out for a rebuild?

I know it's not Jaylen Brown.  But knowing Ainge, I'm pretty sure he'd draft another doozy next year.

Ha ha ha...that's so funny... ;D ::) ;D ::)

Who are the most likely top 10-15 players to become available anytime soon?

Westbrook (2017)
Griffin (2017)
Cousins (2018)
Harden (2018)

Apart from those four, there's also Hayward, Millsap, Ibaka, and Monroe hitting free agency next year.

The 2018 Free Agency class is LOADED. Guys like Paul George, Chris Paul, DeMarcus Cousins, etc. Might be wise to save up cap space for 2018.

I'm certain Ainge will protect max level cap space through 2018 until he gets his leading man.

Chris Paul is too old for the Celts' timeline though, I think.  He's not a guy you can expect to be your focal point anymore, not as a scorer anyway.

I would prefer a front court player, people like to inflate Butler, but he wouldn't improve the current team much... especially if Jaylen Brown continues to be aggressive like he was yesterday.

Boogie and Love would be my preferences for this year. In next year FA, Noel or Griffin.

Yeah that's why I'm not predicting many big moves for next offseason. I'd rather get someone from the 2018 class.

Mark my words Houston will be a mess next year... Hiring Dantoni then bring in more terrible defensive players while losing Dwight...

That being said James Harden could be on the trade market sooner than later...

He's no KG but if the Clippers blow it up then DeAndre Jordan is my target.

Because, just like the last four or five years, they arent going to win a championship as constructed and are paying their top players way too much money. Paul, Griff, Jordan, Rivers, Crawford and Reddick already put them over the cap at 95 million.
