Here's Stephen A Smith's rant about KD. I've got to say, he's spot on with this.

Lebrons TV's announcement was advertising for his Nike products. It was heartbreaking and depressing because advertisement guided the way he let the World know about his decision.

On the other hand, I can't stop thinking Durant decision has been HEAVILY influenced by Nike. It is a stroke of genious against UnderArmor. Last year, there was a competition: Cavs and Lebron success were Nike's too, while Curry and GSW represented Underarmor. Now, any kind of success of Curry will be overshadowed by Durant and Nike.

Nike's got 2 of the top 3 players in the league and just neutralized the growth of the ascending star Curry in terms of possibility of advertisement.

Yup.

He's a blow hard but he'll say some things I agree with.

Totally agree with Smith( I can't believe I just typed that in my life). I wonder if Durant considering  anywhere else was not really genuine and just wanted to make it look like a tougher decision. That's probably just the bitter Celt fan in me thinking that though.

I think popular opinion of Durant was off the mark all along. That tweet about not "joining lakers and heat , let's get these guys " was really weird.

F KD.  Weak.  Hope the Warriors lose every game.  Go Lebron.  Go Westbrook.   League pass cancelled.

I disagree with this guy most of the time.
But this time he's spot on indeed.

It's ironic that the league was going for more parity with the last CBA, and we end up with a two team league. There are going to be some major changes to the CBA during the next lockout I'm sure. I'll always follow the Celtics, but I just have no interest in watching many regular season games this coming season now. Certainly no interest in league pass or anything.

Me too.  Steven A is exactly right on this.

Funny that this all has helped Lebron's rep. Who would have thought mr. Gentleman Durant to be the villain more so than Lebron. I couldn't believe I was rooting for the cavs in the finals last year. I'll be doing it again.

Welp :-\. As always, whatever Jerry West wants, Jerry West gets.  I knew that the Celtics should have brought Gisele to that meeting, lol ;D.

This is exactly how I feel. I'm so addicted to the celts so much that I don't even care about our other teams. I'm just too overly obsessed . I'm really bummed for the NBA as a whole. I really think it gets an unwarranted bad rap from the general Bostonians. Many still say, " they're all selfish, nobody plays defense." A lot of silly myths. I've defended the NBA and really want it to be considered Faaaaaantastic again. This hurts as a Celtic fan but for me even more as an NBA fan.

I found myself in the same position.

I hope LeBron pulls a Game 6 2012 Eastern Conference Semifinals performance the entire season (except when he plays Boston).

The shortened contracts pretty much guaranteed this kind of freedom of movement, and the cap spike ensured there were few obstacles to the best players going pretty much wherever they want.
