If Durant decides to go with GSW, what will your reaction be?

I honestly was prepared to accept that Durant would not come to Boston. I always felt we were a longshot, and the fact that we've come this close to making one of the biggest FA signings in NBA history is nothing less than remarkable to me (In 2013, I could have never imagined that within 3 years, BOS would be this close to signing Kevin Durant? NEVER!)

But I did not predict that at this point, Golden State would be the odd-on-favorite to win Durant.

So you mean to tell me that last year's Unanimous MVP is about to recruit arguably the best player in the game to his 73-win squad? Seriously?!  :o :o

Really would be sick to my stomach if Durant went to Golden State.

Lame - will certainly question his leadership and standing in history. He will be 4th fiddle on that team - a glorified Harrison Barnes. I will wonder what the NBA has really come to.

he'd be dead to me.  Most anti-competitive move in sports.  10x worse than what LeBron did. 



Completely hypocritical.   Golden State will become the evil empire everyone will be rooting against.  If they think it through, Durant's people will tell him this is a horrible idea.

He might as well just join the Cavs and let LeBron be his daddy if all he wants to do is collect jewelry.

I wouldn't blame him or think any less of him. I would of course not want a team like that to win but to each their own. Let's go for 50+ wins this year and see who we can pick and get next year!

I would hate him and GS. That team does not need another Superstar! Like what is even going on in this league. It really ruins the NBA because I can't see anyone beating them. Like how can you? They'll be unstoppable.

I won't be too happy.  But the frustration will be more towards him choosing Golden State over not picking Boston if that makes sense.  I refuse to get my hopes up and think we have a good chance at this, so I've convinced myself he'll go back to OKC...even if it's just the 1+1 deal, then we can worry about this all over again next summer.

But if he does pick GSW, I personally think that's a baaad thing for the NBA.  Remember at points last year when we all felt the regular season was kind of pointless and that we should just fast forward to GSW-Cleveland for the final?  It's gonna be like that times 10.  A 73-win team adding a player of Kevin Durant's caliber, 2nd or 3rd best player in the world, just doesn't sound fair.

I think they instantly become the villains of the NBA, but at the same time, will probably be magical to watch from a pure basketball standpoint.

I'd be happy for him making the decision he thinks is best for his career and family.  But disappointed it's not Boston.

Disappointed.  It's the biggest copout move he could make.  At least LeBron got his own team together, Durant waited for a record-shattering champion to emerge and then said, "me too!" 

I don't really hate athletes unless they do something genuinely terrible, but he'd be a b-ball villain at that point, and I would root very hard for him to fail.
