No. I'm guessing 1+1 with either OKC or GSW. Dirant can monitor Cs over next two years and decide to come here when/ if it looks like Cs are contenders.

Sorry, I went with no. It seems to make all the sense in the world and Horford chose us (thank Dog), but Horford wasn't being courted by all the top teams in the NBA. It's amazing we made it this far. I am not giving up and will be ecstatic and thankful if it happens, but I am trying not to get too hopeful.

If you are facing a reality without Westbrook on your team any way, why not go to a team that has Horford on it...and who knows, a year from now, maybe LA won't look as appealing to Westbrook, and he gives serious thought of rejoining KD on the Celtics.

That's the way I would look at it...come to the Celtics, make this YOUR team and draw others to you. 

It's legacy time...no better city/fans than Boston!

This means that you believe that if Durant signs with Cs it will be because of Tom Brady? You cant really believe that. If that is true, he would have made his decision to change teams because of Tom Brady? I just cant fathom that.

The Tom Brady angle was a great one, but no way is it the factor that determines his decision. Durant's main goal is to have his own team and to win a chip. He has that in the Celtics. He never had that in OKC and will not get it in GSW.

That is why I believe Durant made this choice months ago. In fact he invited the Celtics to pursue him by all those nice things he said about Boston. He made it known to Boston to go get Horford.

In this way he is like the hot girl that gives the shy nerd she likes the confidence to woo her, even letting him know the way to her heart.

I don't think it makes sense for Durant to choose Boston over his other options unless long term stability and an easier path to the Finals are his biggest concerns. The other suitors offer more in the way of current talent and Finals experience.
