Lol man you beat me to it.  I was going to post this lol.

Welcome to the Celtics, Brown, where we blow number 3 pick on someone who can dunk on children lol.  Waiting for his apologists...
Holy **** dude. What is the ****ing problem? The poor guy, whatever he does, there's gonna be trolls like you and others who are gonna ****ing hate on him. Jeez bro, check yourself.

Sorry, I don't deal in emotions.  And I'm no troll.  It's a fact we blew number 3 pick and now we've got to deal the with aftermath...

You know what's a fact? That you're in fact a definite troll. The kid hasn't played a single game in the NBA yet. Why don't you hold off judgement until you see him play?

And what aftermath is this? He had a little fun and dunked in a camp. There is literally nothing wrong with this. He hasn't shown anything bad here. He hasn't done anything wrong whatsoever.

I'm not even joking at this point. You need to reevaluate your priorities in life. If all you want to do is blast the front office because they didn't get who you wanted (someone who apparently wouldn't have dunked in a basketball camp), then why don't you grow up and go do this yourself? Go be a GM. Go draft the Dunns of the world, or trade for the Butlers or Noels of the world while depleting your entire team, and then tell me drafting Brown was a bad idea.

You might want to check yourself, bro ;), as that's not how we conduct ourselves on this site.  Perhaps you should familiarize yourself with the forum rules before doing something like this, again.  It's fine if you don't agree with someone, and we all jokingly make fun of each other on here from time to time, but you can't just tell someone that they're a troll or that they need to grow up.  Geesh ::).

but who is more of a real fan?

Wait.

Jaylen Brown dunks on a kid at a camp. Campers love that. When I was younger and went to camps with college kids as councilors, there was always an opportunity to play them one v. one for a bit and we would always try to play against the guy who could dunk. I am fairly certain that kid thought it was awesome.

How does this have anything to do with his ability as a basketball player or him being a bust. Literally any college or pro basketball player could have done this and many ranging from OK D-3 players to elite NBA players have done it. If you hate brown, fine, but if you use this video as evidence as to why he is a bad player, pick, or person then you've absolutely lost me.

Because I dont believe anyone could have actually watched this video and rationally decided that it served as a fair example of Brown's shortcomings, I too have come to the conclusion that Clench123 is indeed a huge troll.

See, Danny struck me as someone who sees a cake and think there must be a hot pie beneath the cake despite no evidence of a hot pie.  He's one of those people who reads a book and think there is more to the story just so they can seem sophisticated and have their "gotcha" moment in the end when in reality a cake is just a cake, a story is just a story.  He did it with Perkins, Jeff Green, JJJ, and so on.

And i've seen that around here as well.

There is no Micheal Jordan sitting underneath Jaylene brown just waiting to be unveiled.  Hell, there is no Paul Pierce or IT there.  Jaylen Brown is just Jaylen Brown...an average at best 19 year old player.  That's it.  A player we'll realize two years from now what a collosal mistake it was to draft him.  I can't count on that though because ppl relish moral victories like nothing else.

Listen, I wasn't a fan of the pick, either, but I'm hoping that I'm wrong about Brown.  Why not try that approach?

When my co-worker told me this story along with Brown's quote, I loved it!  Great to hear that competitive spirit, as well as that chip on that shoulder (against Simmons).  I completely agree with the other poster who said that MJ would have done the same thing.

Regarding the other poster who is telling us his opinion and insisting that it is "fact", all I can do is feel sorry for him.

Don't worry buddy. I'm familiar with the rules. But at some point, you have to fight fire with fire.

But whatever. The point is, it's irrational to use Jaylen dunking in a basketball camp as another way to push one's (stupid, meaningless, and factually wrong) agenda about a specific individual.

P.S. See Clench? I can say your argument is factually wrong too. We've had tons of threads discussing all the good things that Danny has done for this organization. Next time, look them up, huh?
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Love it.  I've liked everything I've seen and heard from Brown since the draft, although the 99+% factor of how he actually plays for us is of course still in the distance.

Don't care, and as far as I am concerned, you can tell exactly squat about Brown from this.

Brown might not have been my choice at #3 as BPA(I still think Dunn was BPA but understand why he wouldnt have been selected by the Celtics) but I am excited to see if he can turn himself into a combination of Paul Pierce and Jimmy Butler over the next 4-5 years.

I can see it now.  So what, he can dunk on middle schoolers (although that kid weighed more than Ingram.)  So what, he dunked on a bunch of wannabe NBA summer leaguers.  So what, he dunked on people in the preseason.  So what, he dunked on second string NBA guys.  So what, he doesn't shoot a high enough percentage from beyond the arc.

Some people are so predictable.

I'm loving Brown more and more.

This guy sounds like the real deal.

He sounds confident. Arrogant, to a certain extent if you will. But where can you find a young a player with that athleticism, youth, intangibles, calm bravado, and being an extremely intelligent student athlete?

This guy reminds me of Kawhi Leonard, except I don't think he'll ever shoot that great. But Brown works hard, is willing to put his minutes in the gym, and has already said all the right things. I have no doubt Stevens will mold him well.

Ok, dude.  Here is how you know it's a fact.  Besides Danny having a terrible track record of drafting, besides Jaylen Brown clearly not the best player available at number 3, besides the bad omen of it all, you heard supposedly one of the best GM in the league (and he is in his own right) say "give the kid a chance."

"Give the kid a chance?"  That's not a GM who was sure of his drafting abilities.  That wasn't a GM who was sure he just drafted the best player.

"Give the kid a chance?"  That's what you say about number 16 pick, definitely not number 3.  You don't hear the Sixers saying that about Simmons.  That's because they already knew what the guy is on the court and what he brings to the table.  There is absolutely no question about his abilities or weakness.

Tell me, exactly, and in clear terms, what we've got in Brown.  Please, dazzle me with his special talent that is worth drafting at number 3.

What I fail to understand is why others should even care as much as to 'dazzle you' with reasons why he was picked! Who the hell are YOU? Why does someone need to convince YOU of anything? And who cares about YOUR opinions? Who's check are YOU signing? If you felt it was such a bad pick and decided to jump off a bridge into traffic because of it do you think one person on this site would really care? Get over yourself bruh. ****...the arrogance amazes me! smh
