it's a pipe dream, and honestly not one that is overly exciting. These two play very similar roles, I don't think would compliment each other well.
with two bigs trying to occupy the same spots on the floor, we'd become really easy to defend. what would end up happening is that one would have to play the 'Kevin Love' role of staying out of the way and waiting for open 3pt looks.
that, and there are no real-world scenarios where we acquire both.
side note--- folks around here are going to be REALLY let down after this draft, when we don't assemble another KG/Ray juggernaut.
Rival GM's are leery of making even "fair" deals with Ainge, much less these one-sided things we keep seeing proposed here. Remember last year when we couldn't move 4 or 5 firsts for a single late lotto pick?
Ainge's reputation for winning trades is a huge deterrent to our rebuilding strategy at the moment.
