I think G.Hayward for the #3 is a good trade. I don't see why Utah wants to do it though. They want to get away from rebuilding. Not get deeper into it.
Not when he's (technically) an expiring.
He's got a player option next year and might command a max. We basically get a trial run for him for one year and decide if we want to keep him, but that means paying more than he's already making.
I'd love it if we could at least get two years off of him. But not in his current contract status. It's better to bank on then potential of whoever we pick at #3. At the very least, that guy will be cost controlled for 3 years.
