Recent weak rumor that Philly wasn't set on Simmons (via Ford), and really like Dunn, has me thinking that the following trade could make sense for both teams:
Philly sends Simmons and Noel to Boston
Boston sends #3 (Dunn), #16, #31, Crowder and AB to Philly.
I think this would work really nicely for both teams. Simmons's attitude problems are a bigger issue for Philly than for us, and he's a PF who absolutely should not play SF with two traditional big men. Philly now has starting-caliber players or prospects at all positions:
Dunn, AB, Crowder, Okafor, Embiid
This looks like a playoff team, in contrast to:
?, ?, ?, Simmons/Okafor/Embiid/Noel
which looks like an extremely talented dumpster fire.
Boston nets a potential superstar and a defensive anchor. Losing Crowder hurts, but we can replace his production at the cost of cap space.
