I find this believable. I heard Ingram has tried like nuts to gain weight and he has only gained one pound. That's insane.

If the Lakers truly want Hield, they should trade the 2nd pick to us for #3 and # 16/23...Ainge would do it.

No, Anige would just wait for the next pick and grab Ingram, why give up the 16 and 23 for a player that would just fall into our lap. Then he can use 16 and 23 to sweeten an other trade.

No, The Lakers draft Ingram for the Celtics...Who trade the #3/#16/#23 to Mitch for doing this.
His point is why would Boston do it? If LA want Hield they have to take him at 2. If they take Ingram at 2 when they actually want Hield, then try to trade down one spot to get him that's stupid

I believe their point is if someone at say 4 or 5 wants to trade, the Lakes would take Ingram at 2 and trade with them after they draft Hield. So this way the Celtics could be assured of getting Ingram.

Hield, Russell back court is pretty good. Maybe they feel confident they are getting Derozan so Ingram would be a duplicate.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I can't stop looking at this thread in hopes of more definitive evidence. If I hear any name at #2 other than Ingram's in Barclay's on Thursday, I may just explode.

Could LA be gambling on KD and thats why they are thinking Heild instead of Ingram?

If so, they have a pair on them, I'll give them that.

I've said all along, if anyone is dumb enough to take Buddy too early it's the Lakers. All the Kobe comments/connections..where there's smoke there's fire?

Who knows. Maybe  ;D

So stupid question, but what if the Celtics made Brown a promise (he cancelled Wolves try out), what do they do if Ingram slips? Can they back out without losing future credibility?

I'd love to see the lakers fudge themselves again lol. That'd make my week.

I don't know if DA does promises any more, he's had one bite him in the butt.

That being said, even if they did so, I'm sure it's a "if" situation. Brown should understand if Ingram falls to 3 that the C's will take him.

Question is, does DA move Ingram for an established star, or build around him?

To be honest I fail to see why Ainge would give such a promise. The Celtics have the thirde pick so they can get him promise or not.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Considering that they are still working out Bender this tuesday, and still trying hard to trade the #3 pick, I find it highly unlikely that they made anyone a promise.

Exactly, what does a promise when you're drafting 3rd get you unless you're planning to move back to like 5 or 6 and you're not going to tip that kind of info to a draftee. In all honesty, this whole thread seems based on the wishful thinking of Hield and Celtic fans.

I hope he drops to third.
According to Ford, the consensus amongst scouts and front offices is that Hield is a 4th-tier level prospect (projects as a borderline role player/starter) in the 8-14 range.  So I hope he drops to 16.
