The proposition is Okafor and Covington for the #3, Mickey, Young and 2 second rounders.

Too much IMO... and the folks of Philly seem to like it which really leads me to believe its too much.

I don't want to trade #3 for Okafor, but I could live with the deal if they took Mickey out
I'm bitter.

I believe you have to go back in time to 1995, when Jahlil would have been a viable franchise cornerstone.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Yeah, this is roughly where I'm at. I think this is pretty fair value, but I don't really want Jahlil.

Can't we take both Mickey And Covington out of this? We are probably going to need rotation bigs and they are going to need rotation smalls. If 2nd round picks are deal breakers, then we'll never get anything done. Young? Who cares?

I guess this depends how much you value Mickey. To be honest he's a bit of an unknown to me at this stage but if you feel he will turn out better than Covington then you don't do the deal. For what it's worth #3 for Okafor is a fair deal imo

It would be a bummer if the 2 second rounders were 31 and 35, i dont love giving up Mickey and Young has negative value, so unless its necessary Id rather just keep him.

All that said, you have to pull the trigger on this deal unless you get a robbery of Jimmy Butler or Cousins or someone like that.

I'd try to keep Mickey out of the deal, but ultimately I'd do this.

Where is Orlando going to play Noel, next to the Okafor clone of Vucevic? lol

I do like the cheap Covington addition for us, though. I'd do Young and #3 for Okafor and Covington if nothing else worked out with trading the pick, but I'm not adding Mickey, too. I'm already questionable on trading for Okafor in the first place.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

I would love if we traded the #3 for Okafor. As a guy who tried to get posters here to understand why Myles Turner would be good, I'm just goin to say that Okafor has more room to grow and more potential. Try to keep in mind that he was the best scorer on a team that had none and therfore defenses packed it in and focused on him defensively.....just imagine that.

If Okafor comes back with a more matured body and better conditioning then I think he is an all-star next year, especially with an added year of experience.

I agree about James Young, but Philly may see value in him which I could understand because of his tools and shot. It would be so nice If James busted out this year at shooting guard.

Well if this was the case, go after Vucevic instead of Okafor.   He would probably cost less at this point.

I agree. The notion here that Okafor will never improve his game is ridiculous.
