If we don't take Bender, this is the kid I want. Take him and figure out the rotation later.

Shame he is a guard.
If he has a higher upside than any guard we have on the roster I don't think this is that big of an issue. They could draft him, make a commitment to go small and have a bench trio of Rozier, Murray and Smart come in as the back up 1, 2 and 3.

If we draft Bender, he probably won't play a ton his first year. Is there a big difference between drafting Murray and not playing him vs. drafting Bender and not playing him? We could easily draft Murray then let him develop slowly, who knows by the time he is ready to start maybe the back court log jam will have solved itself.

If we don't take Bender, this is the kid I want. Take him and figure out the rotation later.
Agreed, I've decided that I would be happy if they get Murray, Bender or Brown.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz

Shame he is a guard.
If he was European, enigmatic, and playing in an obscure overseas league he'd be the consensus top pick in the draft.

Dragan Bender may not be a lottery pick in the upcoming draft, according to sources of Steve Kyler of B
Kyler reports that some teams have Bender as low as 21 on their draft boards, although ESPN's Chad Ford has him ranked No. 4 overall, as does Jonathan Givony of Draft Express. Bender could be an ideal big man in today's NBA with his ability to spread the floor and protect the paint, although he has a frail frame and foul trouble is a known issue. He'll likely take some time to develop at the NBA level, so he may not be able to establish himself as a fantasy factor during his rookie season.asketball Insiders.

Is benders stock falling?

People paying way too much attention to the position of these players.  You pick the best player, whoever that is...every time.  If it's Murray, doesn't matter that he's a guard because you can always reshuffle afterwards.

TP! But you forgot non-athletic!
Jack of all trades, master of none.

Well, there is not "if" on the non-athletic part for Murray so it seems it was not left out.

He's average. As a minimum, considerably better than Hield. Given his age and production, I'd love to have him at 3.

Problem is he's an awful defender, struggles offensively versus athletic defenders, and his assists (2.2) to turnovers (2.1) is horrible for a player that projects as a combo guard. Kevin O'Conner is really down on him and has him much lower than others.

What was Hield doing at the same age?

I don't like this kind of comparison.  To me, you draft based on the known talent and perhaps a bit of projection but not too much.

Reminds me a lot of Deangelo Russell.

I think the turnover rate is a bit misleading. I believe hes better than that.
