The problem is really who's hurt (obviously). Bradley, Crowder and Olynyk were 2nd, 3rd and 4th in made threes on the season for the team. Zach Lowe pointed out that Atlanta's defense works by squeezing the paint. You take a bad shooting team against this defense and have their next three best shooters hurt and the results should be obvious.

Exactly. I think it's amazing that the C's managed to win twice at home. It's a testament to our defense that we won those games, and we all saw last night what happens when the defense slips up.

I think AB's loss has not been as bad as it should or could have been. obviously he's another body and he's not rozier or hunter, but he played in a majority of game 1 and we lost anyway. we won 2 games at home without him, AB's loss has not had as big an impact as most are making it out to be.

We lost him in the crunch of game 2 whilst he was playing well.
It's not just his defense we're missing. We're missing his scoring and 3 point shooting more than anything right now.
Who would of thought we'd ever say we were missing Avery Bradley's scoring 4 years ago.

It was game 1. Hell, we would've won game 1 if Bradley hadn't got hurt. He was a big part of our comeback, and we had just taken the lead when he got hurt. As soon as he did get hurt, though, we went downhill without his defense and floor-spreading.

But the OP is spot-on. Theoretically, we shouldn't even be in this series with all of our injuries (Bradley, Jae, KO), so that says a lot about the character of the team. The fact that we're probably going to go to a game 7 even with all of our injuries makes me think that we would've won in five or six games if we were actually healthy.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

I think this series was always going to be close with two healthy squads. To be as close as they are does say a lot about the team and the players who have had to step up. One of the best things to come out of the series so far has been that Rozier, while not asked to a huge amount, has taken his opportunity and shown he is a bright prospect.

There is little point considering the 'what ifs' surrounding our injured/restricted players. Whatever the result of the next game/s though it should be remembered that these players produced during this series. Sure, there are flaws and lapses but they still have done some very good things.

Should be a hell of a game 7.
