Hawks are clearly a better team than we are. They won 60 games last year and sent 4 guys to the allstar game. There's no shame in losing to them in 5. Also, this isn't our final form. If the team cared about the short term they would have made improvements at the deadline. Instead, we took a long range view and maintained flexibility for this summer. The franchise doesn't care about these playoffs and neither do I. Glad we got a win. Whatever.
I respect your pragmatism, but this stings.
At least we didn't get swept like last year. These playoffs don't matter in the grand scheme of things. There's improvements that need to be made, we had opportunities to make those improvements, and the team smartly decided we'd be best off making those improvements in the summer. I'm super excited for summer. I barely care about this series.
