Not a shocker, but more good news for this year's draft class. Basically a lock for a top ten pick. Could be a great fit and a long term SF. Of course he can't shoot. Huge Upside though.

Great news. He's good insurance for us if the pick falls to #6, and having more talent in the Draft is a positive regardless.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

I might take him with the 3rd pick.

He's Danny's type of player. Great potential as a solid all around player but is not a good shooter.

I think there's a very good chance Ainge takes him with the third pick.

I don't know much about him, but from what I do know he seems to fit this team's character as a tough, defensive-minded, athletic wing, though after the last several games I'm hesitant to add another non-shooter to this group.

Would Stanley Johnson be an ideal comparison for Brown?
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

I think he's more explosive, but not as good a defender?
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I worry Danny takes him top 2. Brown screams "Danny's guy". I hope Danny doesn't take brown over either Simmons or Ingram.

He won't. Get that out of your head.

He's a much better athlete than Johnson, but I think Stanley, despite being pretty raw himself, was much more polished than Brown. Brown is essentially a blank canvas. He has a body seemingly designed in a lab, crazy athleticism, good work ethic, and he's very intelligent, but he's not a good basketball player.

Hmm, interesting. We definitely need some more athleticism on the wing, because our wings have more football athleticism than basketball athleticism, specifically Smart and Crowder and even Bradley to an extent. However, we REALLY need shooting. After a brief look at his draft profile, it says that he can score by getting to the basket, but he's just not the shooter, though I'm guessing that was also Smart's draft profile, too.

He's good and adds some much needed talent to the lottery
He's kind of like Stanley Johnson or justise Winslow from last year

I think I'd take him at #4. Like others have said, he's a physical machine but he has struggled with a jump shot. The scouts all think his game will translate better in the NBA though. I guess it's easier to drive to the paint in the NBA with the 3 second rule in place and no zone defences

Negatives on Brown, it goes beyond a shaky jumpshot, he has solid form and I'm actually 70% confident his jumpshot becomes solid to good.
The bigger concern is he's just does not have a high skill level right now on offense his handles are loose and can be very sloppy, not a great passer at all. Struggles with simple fastbreak opportunities.
And you would figure his defense would be much better considering his tools.

Positives. Don't get caught up in any Smart comparisons. This guys athletiscm Is other worldly.
It's like if Serena Williams and Jordan had a baby type of athlete. It's the reason I started getting so excited early on with him.

He can really get to the hoop, and he's so strong once he gets to the rim he scores with ease. Lethal in transition just don't expect him to make the pass.
If he develops even an 18 foot jumper that's consistent, he will be a nightmare to guard.

Also his character and intelligence is off the charts awesome. Bill Walton just raves about the kid. He's a great chess player. He's almost too smart and cultured.

Intriguing player. Hard to figure out.
