Celtics can forget it, Durant wants to play for his old coach in his hometown!  ;D

swing and a wiz for the wizards.

they needed Thibs, bad.  That team is so lazy on the defensive end, he wouldve been huge for them

Eh. Durant doesn't strike me as the kind of guy to leave a team just to make media and play for his hometown. He cares about fit, and success. Fit, maybe the Wizards works. But success? They have wall and beal and they missed the playoffs. Also, don't you think if KD wanted to play for Brooks, he could have persuaded Sam Presti to keep him in OKC?

If he wants true fit and success, I really don't see a better option than Boston (assuming OKC is not part of the equation anymore).

Fit: the undeniable superstar, playing for a great coach and a great franchise, with an offense didicated to himself, and a team filled with great heart and passion.

Success: the east, we're already 3rd in the east without a star. With KD we would easily be a contender and probably lure other pieces, win many rings
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

The Wiz are just so determined to never be better than just OK, aren't they?

Scott Brooks is an upgrade from their Wittman. They Thunder played much better defense under him than they are now under Donovan.

He's the type of coach that will take a team from decent to good, but he isn't good enough to take a team from good to great. He probably doesn't add any wins but he doesn't subtract any like Wittman.

DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

It'll be interesting to see how Brooks coaches a team without a Durant and a Westbrook. Maybe it'll be better for him.

That team still needs a big man upgrade, though.

This is 100% a long-shot attempt at getting Durant.  KD likes Brooks, and obviously he's from the DC area, so the Wizards are still hopeful.  Also, this could be a 2017 move as well.  If KD signs a one-year deal, and Brooks can get Washington to improve to a top 4 East team, maybe KD will give Washington a real look in 2017.

After the Gilbert Arenas-Javaris Crittenden incident, the Wizards have become a very risk-averse franchise.  Brooks is exactly the kind of safe hire I'd have expected.  That he has ties to KD is gravy.  I think they should have played it less safe and made a run at Kevin Ollie, myself.

Real good chance of goes to wiz now. Hopefully our hiatory/tradition cam override

John wall has become much more of a team player now. Better than RW and will share the ball. Unless he is on fire or a team needs an end to end type bucket

Beal a good complimentary player for kd.  Gortat a decent center. And add Porter

Gortat, kd, Porter, Beal, wall

Looks good

Lousy coach. Lousy decision. Badly run franchise.

Yeah. What a blunder by management... they should've payed Thibs whatever he wanted. On the plus side, Brooks can't possibly be worse than Whitman.
