Celtics are playing some of the worse basketball I've ever seen!

First things first:  Atlanta is a really good defensive team, and they have played superb defense in the 2nd half of the season.

But...

As an NBA team you cannot be so consistently awful at simple things like shooting.  The Celtics are truly an awful shooting team.
add to that the missed layups, at least 4 that i saw. the celtics are not a "bad lay up" team. IT has been brutal.

We're not in a bad spot right now. Play the second half the same way we played it in game 1

I don't blame the rookies for looking like they haven't been out on a real Nba floor all season.

Obviously, tonight we've seen the reason why.

You got to get them ready during the season.

You're assuming Stevens thinks they can play in the first place. Hunter can't guard a chair, and Rozier's head is somewhere else tonight.

Yeah, he might think Danny drafted some scrubs.  But if he wants them to contribute during a nba playoff game then he should have gotten them some more court time during the regular season.

Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

They are down by 15 points, that is terrible.

Unlike Game 1, where they were playing in rhythm and getting wide open looks they weren't making, this game has been downright ugly.

how many injuries did it take for the celtics to reach this point of having to use rookies in a playoff game?

For all the attention we give Brad, his team sure has looked unprepared through six quarters against this team.

atlanta is playing very good defense. i give them credit. but too many missed lay ups and poor passes and mental mistakes on defense.

I just don't think we can play Sully and Amir together against Milsap and Horford.  That was basically the difference in the game at this point.  And that is on Stevens.

Please stop. What about the 67 point 2nd half Saturday? Are we just going to forget about that? What about how the Hawks just scored 22 points in 18 mins. Are we going to forget that? Defensively the Celtics have been pretty good. Explain to me how it's Brad's fault his team misses open jump shots?

Who thinks we'll tie this game up?

there is a near total lack of execution on offense. part of it is atlanta's defense. part of it is AB being out. CBS needs to make some adjustments to get IT better shots.

You can't get down by 20 points consistently in the 1st half and expect to win.  Thats not all on the coach...most of it is on the players.  But coaches have to adjust.  Our starting 5 has been getting waxed on defense recently as teams have gone small to start against us.

This team has had a 20 point deficit -- IN THE FIRST HALF -- in its last 4 games!!!

I disagree. The Celtics have had PLENTY of open shots. IT included. They're missing them.

we are not a good basketball team. We overachieved in the regular season because we played most of our games at playoff pace. Now that the opposition has stepped up their game, you see the result.
