Billy Donovan more than earning his paycheck.

Warriors in trouble here, but they went down 2-1 to the Grizz and Cavs last year.

The Thunder are probably the best team the Warriors have faced in the last few years though.

So, that kick from Draymond looks clearly intentional.

This type of thing CANNOT be tolerated.  The NBA needs to take the harshest possible action they can here. More than a one game suspension, if possible... does anyone know the rules as they apply to this situation, if the kick is ruled intentional, with intent to cause injury?

I mean, IT just got away with a slap to the head due to being a star player in the playoffs. I really can't see them suspending Green, an even bigger star, a game in the playoffs, which would ultimately cost the Thunder game 4. This is especially true after OKC has received plenty of "help" from the refs in late-game situations as it is, even in the Golden State series.

I agree with that, too. Don't punish the fans by not letting them see one of the stars of the game play in an important game. Hell, fine him $100, 000 for the incident, but don't suspend him for game 4 of the Western Conference Playoffs. I've never been a fan of players being suspended from games for this kind of stuff or technical foul limits.

I think there's a differnce

I think there's a difference between a slap in the head and a kick to the groin.

Sure, if they're both considered intentional. Green had another similar play on Adams earlier this series that nothing occurred from, so it'll be on the NBA to decide whether or not they thought it was intentional, which is beyond me how they can try and determine that.

The precedent for a suspension was set with Jones... no way Green should not get suspended for that. It's the second time in a row he's hit Adams in the nuts.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
The thing with Green is that he is actively going out there and looking to hurt Adams.
Adams is such a tough SOB lol.
I understand if they suspend Green but I doubt they will.
He's such a dirty biznitch though. This isnhow opposing team's fans felt about KG.

Would be funny if Green had to sit next game and the went down 3-1.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

Read that last line again. One more time.

OKC is going to beat GSW in 6

yes GSW beatup OKC during the regular season. So did the celts. But that was without Durant

Different team Plus major confidence with him in the lineup

draymond green lack of height/length compared to Adams/Ibaka is really noticeable

And these guys are just as strong.   Green at least is trying , trying very hard.  Bogut on the other hand is a bum.

I feel the same. Green has become one of the dirtiest players in the NBA and everyone has taken notice.

It will be really upsetting if they let him go.

Add to this that Kerr handled this badly in the postgame interview; basically he told the League how they should do their job, and I doubt they appreciate it.

Green should be suspended but I suspect the NBA won't do it.

I'm a Draymond Green fan.  But if he's not suspended for that, they should pretty much get rid of suspensions.  It was obviously intentional.

I don't believe the league should suspend guys during a playoff series unless it's an absolutely outrageous foul. Suspend em five, ten games at the start of next season if you have to. But don't ruin a great series.

I disagree on this one strongly(and I want the warriors to win the series). Draymond has pushed the envelope all season long and probably should have already been suspended on technicals alone in the regular season. He probably also should have been suspended for the body slam at the end of their loss to the Rockets. This kick was particularly egregious and the way he has continued talking about it in the media (trying to bring in Westbrook) has just made things worse.  If he just said no comment (or it was an accident and i have no further comment), it would have been better. I view this as the kind of thing where if he isn't suspended he may very well do something else crazy himself, or the Thunder may send in someone like Collison to get some retribution when there has been no punishment for one of their key players being repeatedly kicked in the groin area. If that happens you risk other players getting hurt, fights breaking out etc. That would really ruin the series.

Green also needs to learn a lesson from this and suspension may help with that. His whining, dirty plays have really taken away from what a great player he can be. It also clearly got him out of his game in game 3 and hurt the team. Time for him to grow up a little.

I just don't think a series should ever be decided by a suspension, again unless it's an absolutely outrageous instance, eg a punch thrown in the court.

This is why refs are allowed to assess a flagrant two. If it doesn't merit an ejection in game then let the consequence take place next season.
