He heard a pop.

This is bad.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Hey, to all those quick to diagnose AB.

Let's not have a ... KNEE JERK REACTION...

Even without a medical background, sometimes you can just tell when an injury is serious.

If a player is ruled out that quickly, it's not a good sign.  If a player collapses in pain like AB did (and he's one tough SOB), it's not a good sign.  If he's unable to walk without a serious limp, it's not a good sign.

Reminds me of Barbosa's non-contact injury back when he was with us, just as an example off the top of the head.  I knew right away that it was really bad, probably a blown ACL.

Yup, FFS he played on 2 injured shoulders a couple of seasons ago.

That was after the buzzer anyhow.
true, but that he even made a play such as that is amazing.

Brad was probably gonna change the lineup regardless. That first half unit was trash. But the second half was nice.

So... Could we see:
Isaiah-Smart-Turner-Crowder-Johnson/Sully

How would you feel about this?

Or do you keep Turner on the bench for offense?

I'd start Olynyk instead of Smart or Turner.  Gives IT a little more space to penetrate... With IT-Smart-Turner-Crowder-Johnson, there's no reason for the defense to ever leave the paint.

Rozier is going to need to help us.  If he can defend Teague and Schroder, that would help.  But we're in a pickle now.

how many games do you have to comeback like this

just start right the next one

Need to bench one of sullinger/amir to start the game

Yep, if you think about it it has helped us twice now to small in the second half versus these guys- Smart the first time and Turner the second time.

I actually want to see JJ or Kelly start with Amir instead of Sully, especially if Bradley is out. We'll need more shooting and spacing.

We need Crowder on Millsap though KO can not guard Milsap

Before tonight I thought that Amir and Sully performing well was necessary, but I don't think that's a viable option. We're going to live and die with small ball...without Avery...and Jae is virtually useless. Our only path to victory is a superstar performance from IT, coupled with a monster series from Smart, AND major contributions from at least one rookie (most likely Terry since he can best emulate Avery). Ughhhhh.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Solid comeback tonight we just fell short.  Stevens knows how to make adjustments.  Let's get them next game.

So, another case of "dig a big hole early then come storming back but fall just short."

Games like the Miami one don't happen often. This team has to start playing well from the get-go.

I dont want to be the guy that calls refs, but come on now...35 free throws...ouch

I just watched the game---had Dvr'd it---REFS sucked....Kept making sure Boston was in the penalty early in the quarters---especially the 4th--Chintzy foul on AB---gave us our 2nd team foul real early---which led to some KEY free throws when the C's had tied it up---awful, inept reffing most of the night---the offensive foul on Crowder in the first half---just when the C's were getting something going--5 point swing there...plus that FLOP by Teague when K.O. was moving into the paint---awful call---again, right when we were starting something.

Since when does Brad Stevens yell at the refs--and get T'd up--?
Once this season--?

I don't know if they are feeling things out or just taking advantage of when a team loses focus with the lead. It's too bad C's lost. C's almost stole this one after tough breaks too.

They match up well with us, better than we do with them.   We charged and got back into the game.   It may be harder without AB if he is hurt bad.  We played bad tonight and were still in the game though.

Why in the world would Turner be the one shooting that? One more pass and you have a baseline three for Smart??

Dude wants to be a hero. He thinks he is better than he really is.

Don't pay him a dime Mr. Ainge.
