Would you give up a second rounder to see him finish his career in boston?

If we have a roster spot Id give up a 40-60 range pick.

I'd give up multiple second rounders!
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Nope.

Paul was and still is my favourite all time basketballer but the celtics should be sticking with their youth philosophy, and adding players approaching their primes.

Not productive to give minutes to a guy in his mid-late 30s when we've been doing so well with young, mobile uptempo style players.

If we got Durant and another big piece that made us real contenders I would . Can't hurt to have a vet with championship experience coming off the bench . He would basically take Turners spot after we let him go to sign 2 max free agents .

I'd give a late 2nd for him to be a mentor/mascot at the end of the bench. No way is he suited for a significant role in the rotation. He's done. Can't understand why the Clippers use him so much. Doc being irrationally loyal, I guess? I would love to see him back, though. For almost nothing, as almost nothing.

Nah

With all these incoming picks I wish we could have a 20 spot roster.

Paul's production has dropped a lot compared to last season with the Wizards, where he (in my opinion) played great taking his age into consideration. But I would definitely give up a 2nd round pick for him given that the pick likely won't make our roster anyway. Wouldn't hurt to have a mentor on the bench either.

In a KG in Minnesota type role.  It'd be sentimental and all, but the rosrter is busting at the seams as is.
Yup

This.  There is no point is thinking about any aging vets until the basic framework of a championship team is in place.

Let Paul return to the Celtics on his own terms. The Paul Pierce we're talking about is a shadow of the ball player he once was. I don't know about you, but I'd like to remember him as the great player he was, and not watch him struggle when he enters a game.

Also, I wonder how a young coach like Brad Stevens would deal with having to coach a Celtic Legend.

i think, his production will triple once the playoffs start this year.
i would rather bet on pierce to come through for that team than Mbah, Jeff the no show Green.
but to answer the op, yes i would, we do not have much use of 4 2nd rnd picks anyway BUT his role has to be well defined. it would be cool for him to play 12 mpg to finish out the qtr's(except the 4th, you gotta let the young ones develop)
