I would prefer Noel if we trade for a philly big man, I can't stand Centers who can't play defense..
In my opinion our team culture is based on defense and hustle, Noel would fit right in.
I think if the bpa is Dunn or Murray we should make an offer to the sixers, If the pick is top three than make an offer to the kings for Boogie  :P

Nerlens Noel--?
Every time I see him play---he looks like a guy who has never played the game before--he is awful.

He averages roughly 14pt/8rb/2ast/2stl/2blk as a starting center on 56% shooting in 29 minutes, with excellent +/- and defensive metrics. I don't care what it looks like, that's a good player, not an "awful" one.

*11pts and 1.5 block

He is p good: last season he was in the top 10 in steals, blocks, defensive +/- and defensive rating.

But it doesn't look like Philly wants to trade him. On the contrary, they seem to look at him as a foundational stone. Also consider that they traded Jrue Holiday to get him (most NBA analysts were shocked at the time).

Those are his season stats. I'm looking at splits (starting center, 24 games). Okafor forces him to play PF where he doesn't belong.

I agree that Philly wants to keep him, but between Okafor and him playing the same position with little wiggle room, and the fact that he's going to need a huge contract soon, he could be on the move.

I'm hoping for:

IT
Butler
KD
Crowder
Noel

Bench: Smart, KO, youth.

That's my dream or very close to it, too. Crowder at PF would present some matchup problems, but the havoc that squad would create on defense...the turnovers, the fast breaks, the doubling, the switching...best team defense in the league. And if Smart grows and takes some of the PG reins, then a lineup of Smart, Butler, Durant, Crowder, Noel could be one of the best defenses ever.

IT/Bradley/Crowder/Durant/Horford (or some other top flight FA center)

Smart, Turner and Olynyk the main guys off the bench.

Not too many parts moved but that's a contender right there. I think we can take any Western power on in a 7 game series if we're healthy and we can definitely knock off the Cavs and Raps in the East. I'd trade the #1 or 2 pick if it meant we could S+T KD for multiple years. With KD on board, it will be easier to sign a big FA name like Horford or something. I honestly would think long and hard about signing D12 too if we can't land Horford.

Wouldn't Stevens preference for his ball movement offense that requires good shooting be Horford, Durant, Crowder, Thomas and Bradley? All five can shoot and Horford, Crowder and Bradley are all good defensive players. This small ball lineup would be a nightmare to play against.

Yeah, I feel that would be the close out the game five.

when citing splits, it's a good idea to include the source.

With 6 games left Brooklyn went and sat Lopez and Young. That's great news for the Celtics. Brooklyn is currently one game ahead of the Suns who own the 3 spot. 6 games left with a tough schedule for Brooklyn could mean a top 3 pick for Boston. I say Boogie is much in the picture which will probably take both the 2016 and 18 picks. Use the 2017 swap with Brooklyn, Philadelphia and Minnesota 2nd round picks, Rozier, Smart and Olynyk for Butler. Use the Dallas pick n Boston's own pick to move up n draft Labisiere and lure in Durant. Let Sully walk. Retain Turner.

Cousins
Durrant
Butler
Isaiah Thomas
Bradley
Crowder
Labisiere
Turner
Young
Jerebko
Hunter

Leaving room for rookies
