Paul isn't even a question. Would love to see him come back one game retire as a Celtic and then they retire the number.

KG should be IMO. He still has a lasting impression on the team and is brought up ever time they talk about defense, intensity and leadership.

The other 2 I don't think so. Ray was a class act till he left us and Rondo wasn't the star he wanted to be. Great PG but Ray would be over him for sure

I really think that if KG is serious about staying part of the T-Wolves after he retires, that's got to hurt his chances.  Granted, other retired numbers have finished their careers with other teams (and Bill Sharman even went on to coach some great Lakers teams), they all had far longer careers with the C's and most won more titles.

I love KG and I think he did more to change the culture in Boston than any other Celtic in 30 years.  But if he's really a T-Wolf through and through (and he has every right to want to be), I think he doesn't belong in the rafters, especially given how overzealous the C's have been in the past.

I was never mad at Ray for bailing when he did.  Within a year everyone else was gone.  We weren't real contenders anymore.  That said, I don't think he makes the cut.

Pierce for sure.

I'd retire KG.  He played a huge part in resurrecting the long dead Celtics. It's because of him we are still relevant to the modern NBA. He played a big part in putting this team back on the map and I think it could impact our franchise in a big way heading forward (like free agency this summer).

Pierce only. Don't think anyone else deserves a retired number for being on one championship team and showing that aboston was just one of many stops and not even the spot they liked the most.

Why even ask about Pierce? He is a HOF player who played most of his career here and who won a final where he was finals MVP.

As far as the others go, KG is easy because he was so popular. Rondo is tougher. The Celtics have a really low bar for retiring numbers compared to, for example, the Lakers, so Rondo has a decent change since he started on a championship team and was an all star for the team for a few years.

Ray is a tougher call. He was never better than 3rd best player on a team that only one 1 title. In the 80s, did we have any other all star caliber players that only played 4-5 years with the team and only won 1 title as a supporting cast member? Our retired number starters those years were together for all 3 titles except for Maxwell, who played a lot longer with the team and was part of 2 titles.

Pierce and that's it for me.  :)
