i wish Mickey had NBA-level offensive talent.

He may yet might, he is a rookie.  He has physical talent, offensive skills are things that can be improved because they are skills.

But he is not a star now, he is a second rounder.  Hence, I have lower expectations in mind for him than you.

He's good on PNR D and help D, but he's weak on the boards and gives up a lot position. His smaller frame doesn't lend itself to battling inside. He needs to develop a respectable perimeter game where the D doesn't just leave him open and clog the lane.

I agree, I think he could use some more strength ( not Bulk) a 20 year is not as strong as  full grown man in most cases.

  • That's turrible
Im excited for Mickey. He's a second rounder, so having immediately high expectations is obviously too much. It's cool to see that he can get blocks already. If he can reach that upside, I can easily see him become a Draymond Green kind of player for us.

I am extremely interested in the trio of Rozier, Mickey and Hunter.

I don't know if I have ever seen a team draft three guys so late in the draft (in the same year) who all look as promising as those three do.  All three look like they have the talent to become solid rotation players at worst case, and good starters best case.

If those three guys can develop into Eric Bledsoe, Tayshaun Prince and Serge Ibaka - then this would surely have to go down as the best drafting in history!  A bit optimistic for all three of them to turn out that well, but I don't feel either scenario is out of reach.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

That was a good draft. We may have some gold here as well. Hopefully they all three get extended minutes against Phily tonight.

With the slump the team has been in, I don't want to see any fooling around tonight. They need to put this Philly team away early and let us have a look at some of the young guys in extended minutes.

Not Much Mickey last night. I really don't know why. Hopefully he will get in more soon. Good to see Rozier stepping up. We need a big more to be a force.

Amir was playing very well and KO needs to knock off his rust,  but I agree he should be taking Zeller's minutes at this point. I don't see Brad going to the rookie when the team is in a playoff push and with Jerebko coming back he will not see the floor unless there are more injuries.

As of now, we are just waiting to see if they can contribute positively as regular rotations guys.

Mickey needs to learn Excel online

I was like...does he need to do some spreadsheets... ;D ;D ;D

I think it become equal. Allen, West and Jefferson did not play much either as rookies. I see potential in them being better. Jefferson would be hard for Rozier to beat but I think Hunter and Allen can be beaten by mickey and Hunter.
