Keep in mind that the Blazers had won like 7 of 8 including 3 in a row ON THE ROAD. Lillard has been the hottest player in the league next to Curry. Celtics just cut them down to size, quite easily.

They were also playing their fourth game in five nights

Another excellent win. We should pick up a good win against New York on Friday, then we have another good test in Cleveland on Saturday. That should be an interesting game after the last time we played them and how they've been sliding a bit recently.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

that is an understatement, since the all-star break the Blazers also had a better record, top 4-5 record I believe...and we just destroyed them

They've been elite for the last 1-2 months, and (specifically in the second half) we dismantled them.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Celtics usually play down their opponents level against scrub teams, so I think that game might be a close loss for us.

So, Young is a goner after this season ends... probably

Stat of the night. Celtics only had five turnovers the whole game and 1 coming from Rozier during garbage time.

I fully expect that to be close game, for whatever reason.

12 games over .500. I didn't dream of this when they were 19-19.

This has to be the most impressive win since the all-star break. Celtics not only beat one of the hottest teams in the league, they smoked em. Good to get some cushion in the playoff race.

Wow! I forgot about him tonight.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Writing on the wall for some time now, particularly with Hunter looking like a more viable prospect for Stevens at the moment.

Ainge's MO has been that no one pretty much has lasted with us beyond 2 seasons without showing he can play a role for us, which Young has failed to do so.

He might be the exception to the rule given his youth, but the fact is that we have too many draft picks coming in as it is, and plenty of young players currently on roster, that makes him staying very very tough.

So yeah, I think he's 90% gone from the roster except if Ainge finds a valuable proposition using other players/picks that may be more appetizing to other teams.

One reason it is hard to trade AB or Smart was on display today. If you face a lineup with great offensive guards, like Golden State, it is nice to have 2 guards who can defend like that.

So true.

I love this team. Has to be my most enjoyable season in years.

Crowder for Most Improved Player
ET for 6MOTY
Isaiah for All-NBA
Smart/Bradley/Crowder for All-Defense
Stevens for COTY

Entire roster under the age of 28. Top 5 pick in the draft, multiple other 1sts, two other Brooklyn picks. It's just downright amazing how far we've come in ONE year.

Yeah. I really like our little trifecta of guards right now. Isaiah is clearly the best offensive talent, but having Smart and Bradley who are more defensive minded but are good/getting better at scoring makes the back court so well rounded
