  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Rodney Hood could become an All Star one day.
He has incredible anticipation and offensive awareness.

His defense is poor but he is a REALLY talented offensive player.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

hood always kills us maybe cause we passed on him for james young.

That's all I can ever think about whenever I hear Hood's name. I know he isn't amazing, but he was just such an obvious selection at #17. The draft brings about lots of hype from March Madness and workouts. I sometimes think GMs and scouts should stop second guessing themselves and going with who made sense before all the hoopla.
I personally was between Gary Harris and James Young and those were the two names being discussed on ESPN on draft night. I dont remember everyone clamoring for what, if I remember correctly, was considered a low-ceiling Rodney Hood.

During the draft, they talked about how Young was the highest ceiling guy left and had top 10 pick talent.

I was between Harris and Hood at the time, but since we already had AB, I wanted Hood. The Young pick came out of nowhere for me.

This is tangential, but how great were those years of Butler basketball with Mack and Hayward? Watching these two teams play reminds me of good ol' college ball.

I think you could justifiably mistake Amir for a fifty year old at times with how he plays/falls. He looks like the old guy in rec league that knows how to fall properly to avoid injury, and he does it all of the time lol

Typical KR, since that's the EXACT argument some of us were making  ::)

You're the guy that wants him to take it up against three guys, even when he has two people on the wings open..

Longest wingspan in NBA Combine history at 7'8", I think.

Crowder's drives and pull ups off the dribble are vicious
