Makes sense.   He can prove his worth on a playoff team that suddenly needs another offensive weapon can only help him find the best contract the following season.

I posted yesterday in the other thread that the Heat made the most sense for him. Backing up Lebron and being the 5th option in Cleveland would be a waste for him, and iso Joe has never, ever been about rings.

He's goin to fit well with Wade and Dragic.

Just depends on what he values in joining a team. Glad he can finally get away from the Nets, he's looked miserable there for years.

He wants to keep playing so prioritizing minutes/role is one way to value things.

we're going to be in a dogfight with everyone the rest of the year.  adding him to Miami might give them a game or two in the end but I don't think it'll make a huge difference

Yeah as long as we maintain homecourt for the first round I'll be happy.

Which is obviously tough given we're only 3.5 games out of the 8th seed!

Semi-surprise but it's probably the biggest role he can get on a playoff team.  I don't think this helps the Heat much, though.

I agree. Will JJ help the Heat? Maybe. It's not like he moved the needle for the Nets.

I hope Miami keeps starting Winslow. They need him in the lineup. They need his defensive quickness out on the perimeter. Winslow is more important to Miami than JJ is.

JJ should be competing with Gerald Green for 20-25mpg off the bench.

I guess Joe is more interested in proving he can still ball to get that next contract, as opposed to playing a role on a team with a snowball's chance at going somewhere in the playoffs.
