I initially thought Shumpert, LeBron and JR Smith was good enough. But JJ gives them that extra lineup flexibility against GSW. Shame to lose minutes to quality big men like K-Love, T.Thompson or T.Mosgov though.

He's been legitimately excellent for the last two months. He was their third best player, and I'd really like Danny to try and sign him.

It is ironic that he was acquired and the 1st round picks were traded to convince D-Will to re-sign -- and then D-Will was garbage for them. Geez. Killed by desperation moves.

He's a closer and Ainge was looking for another one of those. I doubt he comes here though. I could see the clippers or cavaliers getting him.

Johnson, who is averaging 11.8 points on 40.6 percent shooting but has seen an uptick in his performance of late, has been best known for his game-winning shots at the buzzer in Brooklyn. They could have Damian Lillard there right now.  Instead they mortgaged probably close to a decade to ultimately get one series win.  There's going to be a great book or 30 for 30 on this someday I think.

Yep. This is a really big deal actually. Joe was playing 30+ minutes per game and playing really well. That's an additional 30+ minutes to guys like Markel Brown and Bojan Bogdonovic every game. Fantastic, fantastic news.

Traded Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett to Brooklyn and led them to their demise for the next decade. Thank you former Celtics legends. I love seeing a Boston sports team ruining a New York sports team.

I don't care where he goes, the fact that he won't be on the Nets is huge news for the pick. Too bad they didn't buy him out before his game winner a couple weeks back

But if he's waived he doesn't have a choice unless he clears waivers. That's better for Boston.
