marcus obviously was only concerned with pushing the ball up court to get a shot off ,he probably didn't know how much time on clock when he let it fly or if the was enough to risk a pass
-he was going at full speed with tunnel vision -he had one job in his head get down the court and get a shot off-even with double team there should have a play to get isaiah open -"the in case there are no timeouts and little time on clock" out of bounds play-the ball should be in isaiah hands  speed ,shooting ability,ability in drawing fouls and deadly at line-

A bit of panic mode for Marcus. The bad shot is still better than no shot or a turnover due to not noticing a trailing defender.

finally saw the play -- sure IT was open but if he'd received the pass he'd have had to let it fly as soon as he caught the pass which would have been a long 3.  debatable if he'd have as much chance to make that as Smart did while in rhythm.

Lebron gets killed for not taking those shots.

Although I think he should of passed,  I like the fact that he had the willingness and confidence to take the last shot.

I was disappointed he didn't set himself and not enough guys crashed the boards. It's like the play was to get up a three fast and be ready for a offensive rebound put back to tie. Marcus drove up looked to see no one crashing in and it messed up the shot. Both the Wolves and C's lost their wits at the end. Wolves should have won and did win though they almost gave it away. Results are fine by me keep the Nets pick ahead of Wolves in lottery balls a few more day lol. Also I want C's to be a 5 seed. Like C's as underdogs role.

Like the fact that Smart had the confidence to take the shot, but don't like the fact that he didn't have the intelligence to realize that IT had a much better chance of winning the game than him.  I mean, to have one of the worst shooters in the league taking the final shot vs. a clutch all-star.  Not a very "Smart" move.

I agree......but I'm glad it was Smart and not ET.....Smart gets mild rebukes, at worst, and a pass from some where ET would've been urinated on and defecated on by many.

i don't believe for a second that marcus is the worst shooter in league as his comeback from injury should have an asterisk and be edited out-any way turner holds that honor-is their a computer wiz that could simulate time to get isaiah the ball and where he would be shooting from-
another thing i noticed last year was the amount of shots marcus took with time running down-kelly and jerebko with time running down treated the ball klike a hot potato-i resent the calling of marcus playing hero ball-massimino used to make us practice last minute shots so we would realize how long 8seconds is-even with all that practice we lost in tech by one when the first person that got the ball rushed his shot and this kid made his living in the paint and getting to hoop--we had 8 seconds and they couldn;t foul-i was the best shooter and scored 8 of 10 last points-i was the decoy
so marcus got it upcourt and hit the front rim online and nobody got the rebound
this was an example of running out of timeouts,not having a play to break isaiah free-these guys can't foul-

ET is one of the worst 3 pt shooters in the entire league.  Smart's just a poor 3 pt shooter but has been putting up good percentages lately.  And Smart's ceiling is a lot more uncertain than ET's, and probably higher.  So people are more forgiving.  It was a dumb shot by Smart with IT available, but defensible under the circumstances.  You really only want ET taking that shot if there's absolutely no other option.

How do you know they didn't have a play?

The entire team was giving Smart the WTH look. Even Smart was saying my bad.

My guess was Smart was suppose to pass that ball off and never did.

Dude had a great game but he messed up that final play.

Ridiculous that smart is getting any criticism.  They had five Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ing seconds to go the length of the court.  And they were losing to Minnesota.  Get some perspective here people.

Chill out guy.

Smart messing up that play is an observation any unbiased person would had made.

Are we not ok to make observations that are true?

Should we also not criticize Smart for flopping?
