I am tired of the moral victories.

DANNY GET ME A SUPERSTAR ......NBA is a superstar league.

Will help with the refs, too.

that is exactly the point I am making. The refs give the so-called superstars an advantage it is a self-fulfilling prophesy. Superstars getting calls just makes them that more dominant. You are totally screwed if you do not have one of those on your team.

Well, at least WE DID shoot more free-throws than Dallas.

Honestly, it depends what type of superstar. If you watch big men like Shaq, Dwight, and Boogie, you see that they get violently fouled on every play and never get calls simply because they're larger, sturdier-looking individuals. Same thing happens to Marcus, who is rather bulky compared to other guards.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

We need to figure out ways to get Olynyk to shoot as many threes as possible.  He is the best three point shooter on the team and we need his shooting badly.

On a basic level this means just playing him as much as we can.

someone just pointed out that we had more free throws than Dallas so I guess my superstar complaint doesn't work it would seem, but if you take a closer look at the impact the refrees have on games it is not always the quantity of the fouls called the quality and timing of the fouls or no-calls is more important.

So you have a superstar that the league wants to keep on the court committing all kinds of fouls with no-calls. It is not a wonder that most darlings of the league are also known as great defenders. They are allowed to hack with impunity.

The advantage of having a superstar is that he gets as many calls as no-calls. The no-calls can be as devastating as the called fouls.

Well, at least WE DID shoot more free-throws than Dallas.

By 2, but we had 9 more fouls called on us (3 or 4 of them on purpose at the end, but still).

Also, it's mostly the non-calls (Dirk elbows, Zaza moving screens) that ticked us off. I want a smaller official presence overall.

Then you have guys like Dirk who get three times as many, even when he's purely a perimeter player.

WRONG!! You need to get him a pair if you know what I mean. He gives up too many shots. CBS needs to green light him .... and bench him when he refuses to shoot.

You can't watch basketball and deny the superstar call.  You can argue the reffing otherwise but yeah that's just clearly how basketball works.

Yea, the defense in OT was terrible but we lost this game in the first Q. I'm not talking about missed shots either, hell that's the Celts M.O., I'm talking about the defense. I thought CBS let it go on too long.

Hoping they can just run sets to get KO as many 3 pt chances as possible.  He's our only guy at 40% from three with Avery dropping down to 35%.  If we don't have the shooters better have our best shooter fire away.  Still the biggest problem with this team I think.

Oh, and I just watched the end of the game again. Zaza double-dribbled. He caught the pass, threw an errant pass, went and picked it up, and dribbled. That's a double-dribble violation. We should've had another possession with over a second left on the clock.

Defense lost this game, we shot 40% from 3 even after those last 2 misses by AB.
