What are we waiting for???  Danny Ainge has more than enough players and draft picks to make this team a contender right now. so what is the plan??? are we waiting for Brooklyn's draft pick before it's all right to make a freakin' move, just plain stupid!!!

Who is available right now that would make the C's a contender?

  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.
Same Diatribe different day. We are in the playoffs with this team. Wait till Trade deadline pass then gripe. Zeller and Lee Spots are open for 2 draft picks all is well. Morris and Martin are the only one on the market at moment

It is not waiting to make a pick.

It is about waiting for a good move to become available.

(and here is the hard part for many)

That move may not come until the offseason!

And that is OK.   As long as the team is moving forward, which it is.  As long as their is growth in the players, which there is.

Unless a miracle happens and multiple stars become available before the deadline, the Celtics trade for all of them and they fall perfectly in place with the remaining players; the Celtics are not winning a title this year.

They will either make the playoffs or just miss the playoffs.  The same position they are currently in.

There is no quick fix.

There is no reason to take a step back.

It is the time to allow the player that they have grow and wait for (or create) the right trade.

This isn't NBA 2K where you flip all of our assets in exchange for a star player.
An opportunity will arise sooner or later. Patience is a virtue, and I think that a lot of people forget that sometimes...

I always love when people post to complain about how Danny Ainge hasn't made a move and the team isn't a contender yet, but they never want to offer actually plausible ideas for how Danny could make that happen.

Not too sure what this thread title means but it kind reeks of that attitude that because IT is a short player, he's childlike. The same kind of thing when Chris Paul gets patted on the head by big men.

IT is a focused, grown man who this franchise owes a lot too. I think your implying that he needs some help which is true but your word choice in the title was poor.

Not trying to be an ivory tower kind of guy but when I write here I don't expect that players will see it but I try to keep in mind that they could and IMO a thread title like this poorly represents the fan base.

This team is only as good as IT is. Unfortunately the team just doesn't have better scoring options when IT is off. Only way to get back in these games is for IT to keep shooting until he finds his shot.

Also, no knock on Crowder cause he's been solid, but when you're relying on him as your second leading scorer, it's not saying much for the rest of the team.

You absolutely took my title the wrong way and in no way was I implying that because he was small in stature that he was childlike. what I meant was after watching the last couple games that Isaiah is trying too hard and making mistakes at untimely parts of the game and maybe needed to unwind a wee bit, no pun intended.

Then make the title clear. IT needs to Unwind. Words mean things be as clear with your words as possible. They never come back.

I'm just a little antsy watching games we should win wind up going down the tubes. on the other hand if you read any of my past posts you would know I am a big Danny fan.
I don't expect us to be a contender this year but also don't want to have to face Cleveland again in the first round because we are still not ready for them.

I'm with you there, I've never been particularly excited by the prospect of making the playoffs with a team that's pretty obviously slated (in my eyes, at least) to get steamrolled by teams with better firepower.

As long as the team makes the playoff with a winning record, not because the rest of the team suck and they are just the best of the sub-500 team, I am not so worried about playing superior teams.  Let the young guys see what they are trying to get to on the playoff level.
