Sixers get the Lakers pick if it is 4 or worse.  Lakers keep the pick if it is top 3.  So the question is rather straight forward.  Who would you rather have get the pick?
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Lakers -- do not like the way Philly has tanked so blatantly and for so long.

Sixers... they're shameful but there's nothing worse than Lakers fans thinking they're entitled  to high draft picks/great free agents. They don't deserve it

need another option: the thought of either team getting that pick makes me vomit in my mouth a bit.

tbh, I'm so torn as to which option I hate less.  absolutely hate the Lakers so I don't want them getting a top pick but I also hate what Philly has done so I don't want them adding another top pick.

would make it a bit easier to swallow if the Nets pick jumps them both in the lottery drawing

Of course the Sixers.  This has nothing to do with basketball morality.  It has to do with senseless hatred for a team.  I want the Lakers to suck forever.

I know I started the thread, but I am so torn because the Sixers are in the Atlantic and they are already going to have a very high pick.  Not sure I want them to get another one to pair with all the other guys.  I mean imagine if they get Simmons and Dunn to pair with Noel/Okafor/Saric/Embiid (or whomever they acquire when they move some of those guys).

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
We are only up one championship on the Lakers. Any Celtic fan who would choose the Lakers over the Sixers in this poll needs to re-evaluate whether they want to be the winningest franchise of all-time or 2nd.

We need to win a few more before we can be choosy about other teams not acquiring top picks over the Lakers.

I just hope the Sixers finish with the worst record in the league so that the Celtics get the 1st pick of the 2nd round and have the option to draft the most talented Euro in the draft with a bad buyout clause.

I'm pretty much indifferent about the Laker pick, but I'll say I hope the Sixers get it because I 1) hate the Lakers, and 2) because I'll be curious to see if once the Sixers are loaded up with all their 1st round talent how long it takes them to turn it into a functional team.

I hope the Lakers keep winning, so that (a) they lose it, and (b) it is at the back-end of the Lotto, so that it has less value to the Sixers.  If it had to be a choice between the two, I guess I'd rather the Sixers get it, because they lack ability to attract free agents, unlike the Lakers. Plus the 17-16 differential in banners.

I actually feel the Lakers can be a pretty decent team this year if they play the way the did against us.  LIke their nucleus.

Tough call.

The Lakers getting Simmons or Ingram would be much worse.

I'd rather the Lakers get the pick.  I always strongly disliked Kobe and all of his teams but I don't have anything against the Lakers franchise.  Of course I wanted the Celtics to kill them in the 80s but I always liked Magic Johnson and I rooted for them in the 91 Finals against Chicago.  Plus Id like to see Philly suffer for a while.
