I finally got a smart TV thats hooked up to a strong cable connection.

I cant afford league pass and would like to make the occasional purchase of single NBA games.  What is the best way to do this?  Roku?  Fire stick?  Everything Ive read online only lists streaming through Roku available through purchase of a full league pass sub.  Maybe I am out of luck with single game purchases.

I'm paranoid elite hackers will steal my credit card info through the TV, I cant imagine it is very secure.  Whats the best means to buy single game viewings from the NBA on my smart TV?  Is it safe?

Thanks for the assistance and Happy New Year!   Nasty hangovers get worse in your thirties... ???

NBA League Pass offers individual games for purchase, I never had Roku but i speculate you can purchase the game online and stream it through Roku. The prices of the games are quite steep though at $6.99. What I went with in the start of the season was to buy the Team Pass, which lets me stream all non nationally televised Celtics games, I'm not sure if that's worth getting now until the price drops a bit.

It should be noted that team pass is only available for streaming and can't be done through just your cable provider (at least in my area). I was not too psyched with that as I had to purchase the full league pass. I enjoy watching non-Cs games occasionally, but get all I need through TNT, ESPN, and NBA TV.

If you can't watch single game events through the NBA app then you could run your computer video output to your big screen TV. It's pretty easy to watch off the computer. Might have to go to staples to get the video chord to your tv.

And I wouldn't worry about getting your credit card jacked. It's a secure site. And if you got some keylogger virus on your computer(small chance unless you are click happy on the Internet), it's still unlikely that you will get your info stolen.

If you're still worried, get a credit card with a low max on it. Or just call to report card stolen every so often to get a new one.
