Turner just watching, no box out.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Dude. RJ is feeling his oats.
That was some dunk attempt. I hope he gets stronger and keeps doing that.
My biases, in order of fervor:
Pro:
Smart, Brown, Hayward, Tatum, Kemba, Grant Williams, Sleepy Williams, Edwards!

I don't understand why people think we need to upgrade at SF. Crowder is almost necessarily a part of our long-term future because he's a starting caliber player who only takes up about 5% of the total cap.

It's because he's been playing way better as of late.  Last year he could hold his own against mediocre and bad teams, but would get murdered by anybody really good.  Now, he can mostly hold his own, so people are undervaluing him.

HOWEVER, SF is by far the most stacked position in the league.  Kawhi, Durant, LeBron, George and Melo are all clearly better than he is.  Then there is a group of Gallinari, Greek Freak and Hayward who are definitely better and still haven't reached their full potential, but are not as good as the first group.  Then there is Crowder, DeMarre Carroll, Rudy Gay, Batum, Will Barton, CJ Miles, Kent Bazemore, Tobias Harris and Evan Fournier.  Now, where does Crowder rank in that third group?  Like 3rd?  He's only 24, but he'll never even make it to the second group's level.  If we had Gallinari, he'd be the best player on our team.

I still think so. His form is good, he's just a bit too quick a lot of the time and doesn't get properly squared up. Given time, I'm hopeful that he'll be lights out.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Jerebko defends well, but is now unplayable on offense.

Whether he defends well or not, the fact is that the units Stevens has inserted him with have been actually very poor defensively... so he's not bringing anything to the table this season.

I think it's more his defensive versatility to guard the 3-5 than anything else, especially considering after Crowder we have no bigger wing-stopper.

But what value is there in having that ability if the units he's been in are going to suck anyways?

Can't really say without seeing who he's usually playing with, though I'm guessing playing a lot with Lee doesn't help his numbers at all.

Survey says... you might be onto something. Will have to see more, I figure he catching fire recently without Lee in the last few games are skewing things a bit. But we'll see.

the difference between college the NBADL and the NBA is the speed of the game. At the elite level the speed of the game challenges you mentally and physically. Its not that these players all of a sudden forget how to play basketball when they get to the NBA, it is that they now have to do what they do quicker and faster. It takes time to adjust to that. This is why you don't just slot in a Mickey for a Jerebko.

Jerebko is already attune to the speed of the game, Mickey, no so much. Mickey still needs time.

Hunter is doing a lot of the same backdoor cuts that Bradley used to do.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

The arm clear out is such an inconsistently called foul. If they called that consistently, you'd see a ton of them.
