THAT WAS ALL GUTS! WE STAYED STRONG EVEN WHEN WE MADE MISTAKES! WE ARE A TEAM!!!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

It's crazy how quickly the standings change game by game... Hornets now 2nd in the East LOL. We're now 6th after having not been in the playoffs a half hour ago and the Bulls are 8th. Magic win they're out of the playoffs! This is crazy

Butler is an elite player. They should have gone to him more in the 1st half.

He got very aggressive when then Bulls got down by 8 in the 4th and kept going right at Cs, playing into their tight D, and got a lot of fouls.  Very smart and very impressive.

I was disappointed at the Crowder foul on him.  That got Chicago directly back in the game when it should have been simpler.
agreed. but butler simply was the better player tonight. crowder i think was frustrated and tried to stop butler, but couldnt and wound up fouling.

but it all turned out all right.
Yes that was disappointing, but Jae draws the toughest defensive assignment every night. I like his effort all the time.

Butler was playing really smart offensive bball tonight.  He got Jae into some bad positions and took advantage of it.  I am not really worried about it for Jae.  Even though he lost some of the battles, the team won the war.  I think Brad will take that trade off.

I am noticing the fellowship of the miserable posters are never around during the games, especially when we are winning.

They're watching replays of the 51 point drubbing Philadelphia took against the SAS minus their top players and yelling at the screen:

"THAT"S HOW YOU TANK, BOOM."

Love the Process. Be the Process.

Every guy that played scored double figures except Young who only got 2 shots (Jerebko had 36 seconds so it doesn't count)!! Almost every player had 2 or more RBs (Young had 1). Everyone had at least 1 assists except Jae and Young.  If that isn't a team win and you aren't the Warriors, I don't know what you call it!!

Great work guys even though they had the top tier talent!!! We can DO IT!!!

So cool to see all the positive media attention Cs are getting.

Van Gundy predicts we beat GSW on Friday (retracted a bit later, but whatever).
He also stated the Celtics were going to continue to improve throughout the year.
Later in the third, he praised their defensive intensity. My favorite moment of the game -- lineup included Lee, Young, and Turner... and they really were playing great defense.

That's just culture. Comes from the top down, with Stevens preaching that the difference between wins and losses is often just a few possessions of poor defense. That attention to detail is such an awesome mindset and standard to hold our guys to, and they really do seem to be playing more consistently on that end. Also, 10 guys in double figures tonight.

I love watching this team.  Love the way they play defense and I love the way they grind.

he even pulls up his shorts like KG did, he is clearly our intensity leader out there.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
This was a win that shows what tough defense can do for a team having a poor shooting night. The Bulls defense was good, but ours was better.

Most teams in the NBA are one dimensional.
The Bulls are a solid defensive team. Teams like GSW and  San Antonio are elite on both ends. Miami is starting to look good in that regard.

We are a top 10 NBA player/scorer away from being a very balanced team.
A guy like Butler would be so good for us.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

And by starting to look good you mean losing two games in a row by double digits to division rivals?
