Probably Thomas.  Maybe Bradley.   Sully has had good stats.

Crowder seems to be a really important part of the team's identity so he deserves the KG award for that.

I think Marcus Smart is both our best asset and most overrated player right now.  No way is he the MVP.   We've arguably been better without him.  He gets the Rondo award.
what? if you mean w/l record then i am confused since you yourself posted a few days ago that the celtics w/l is virtually the same with or without him.

perhaps you are referring to other stats. if so, please share them with us.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Well man there is thing called a "team".  It starts with a T and ends with an M.  E and A in the middle.  It hast to function together to put the ball in the basket and then it also has to prevent the other side from scoring.  Teams usually have leaders and co-leaders and there are all kinds of dynamics and components to how scoring and defending take place.  Then there is team depth and lack of depth, reliance on one  (or two) stars (see Thunder) verses a 5 guys on the floor approach (Pistons beat Shaq and Kobe).  There are also dynamics relating to confidence and lack of confidence, energy, effort, hutzpah, perseverance, etc...

See how the Kings melted when we took the lead?  Would Smart on the Kings have allowed that to happen?  See host the Celtics crapped their pants for two straight games when Smart went out?  (they've since re-organized brilliantly).  See how our GM calls him a leader?  If not the leader?

I am the one vote so far for 'other' and the 'other' is CBS. He gets the credit for putting together this cast of role players to believe and play like they belong, and it is working brilliantly.

Nobody really stands out.  This is a team effort with random guys from the bench coming through vs different teams

Biggest disappointment so far has been Tyler Zeller.   Maybe Evan Turner

I think it's Isaiah Thomas. We would be completely lost on offense without his ability to hit shots.

An argument can also be made for Crowder. This team has been historically good at forcing turnovers and Crowder is leading the team in steals.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

IT...without him we simply don't have enough firepower to compete night in and night out. Avery is doing really well this year, but we need another player that can make plays on the offensive end like Thomas.

Bradley so far for me. He's really playing to his strengths at the moment.

Bradley and Thomas are the two standouts. Sullinger, Crowder, and probably Smart if he had played more on the tier below that.

How is Turner, who has been in 5 of the Celtics' 6 best lineups, possibly a disappointment? Turner's exceeded my expectations this year.

I think Bradley and Thomas are clearly the two standouts on the roster to date, in terms of both impact and consistency. I'm surprised there aren't more votes for Sully as our leading rebounder and best big man scorer. But then again, I didn't vote for him because I think Bradley and Thomas have a bigger impact in terms of leadership on the floot.

So I voted Thomas. Without his scoring, I think the offense grinds to a halt.

Thomas has been the MVP on offense.
Crowder has been the MVP on defense.
Bradley has been the best 2-way player on the team.
CBS has shown his brilliance as a coach.

The MVP is Danny Ainge for getting all three players on bargain contracts and getting Stevens to replace Doc as coach before anyone else could.

The scariest part about this team is that it should get better. It's due for a trade for an impact player with Lee's nice fat expiring and that very valuable Nets pick. And even if it doesn't, the Celtics should work all the kinks out to be a great team come playoff time with their cohesion and defense. And that's coming from someone whose expectations weren't that high at the start of the season.

Thomas or Crowder.  The argument there is probably like a much, much, much lesser version of the debate between Steph and Draymond.

Overall, I'd give it to Thomas.  This team just doesn't scare anyone on offense without him.

The Celts are top 3 in defensive efficiency (!!!!), but I give that to the team as a whole.  Whereas the Celts would probably be bottom 10 in offensive efficiency, rather than 16th, if not for Thomas.
