in lieu of so many people stepping out of bounds while shooting corner threes, has it ever come up or been discussed the possibility of widening the floor about two inches on each side, just asking???

TP.

I'd like to see the corner be pushed out too.

I have wondered about this too.  Perhaps it would be easier to bring the 3 pt line in 2 inches, rather that widen the court 2 inches - either way I think would improve the game.

2 inches???

There's already 3 feet between the corner 3 and the sideline, and you guys are talking about moving it from 36 inches to 38?

2 feet, now that would be an interesting idea.

At least it would make it easier for my guy to spot up in the corner in NBA 2k.  I'm sick of hitting the shot only for it to be ruled a 2!  They need to add a square up for 3 button or something.

How about people just watch their feet? Should we widen the hoop because more than 50% of the shots end up misses, too? :)

Yeah I'm not sure how I feel on the issue of making the court bigger. It does make some sense in the NBA. With athletes continually getting bigger, faster, stronger at an alarming rate. Changing the outside dimensions and length of the court could end up being and interesting idea. I know its been brought up in articles and what not in the past.

At the same time, I wouldn't push out the corners or widen it just because people are stepping out of bounds too often. Like Koz said, just watch your feet.
