I mean, I get it if a coach is suspended for a game, has a family emergency, etc. But you'd think they could set a threshold for consecutive games coached where the wins (and losses) start counting for the replacement. I know they didn't want to mess with Nellie's record retroactively, but certainly 20 games of coaching a team should be enough to qualify, no? I mean, what happens if Kerr doesn't come back the entire season, but they still keep the interim tag on Walton? There has to be a point somewhere.
