I have said it before (check my past posts) and I will say it again - last year Sully was our best player prior to the injury and the Thomas deal.  He is at least a top 3 talent on this team, if not #1 from an overall skill standpoint. I think he is clearly the most talented big.  He is without question our best rebounder and best inside/out frontcourt offensive threat.

OK, I'll bite.  My love for Rondo is following him where ever he goes, in his career.  Sully is my favorite current Celtic.  I love his rebounding, I like the way he "throws his weight around," although the primary concern is still "can he stay in shape through a season?"  Being "big" does not translate to "having height" and I do not like him as a center.  He is still improving his game.  I don't like three pointers as a primary way to get points, but I do appreciate that he has added it to his arsenal this year.

I'm pretty darn happy.  But as many other people have said, let's see if he can keep it up and stay healthy.  That's always been the issue.

i'm not surprised by sully's play, this is what he's done every yr. he's been in the league. he starts strong and fades after the all star break.

If that turns out to be a chronic pattern, Sully probably won't be here next year.  This year is probably a test year for most of the team anyway, to maximize value and evaluate learning/improvement/teamwork curves.

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
I always believed Sullinger could be the next Kevin Love, or a lite verison of him. Sullinger is a man on the boards and boxing out. I can certainly see him having a season or two of ten or more rebounds per game. He also has the amazing outlet pass sort of reminiscent like Love, albeit not as good, but still with potential to be more deadlier.

And Sully has really a smooth stroke for a big man. His mechanics are solid. I think his leg strength needs to be strong enough to support his body. Hopefully even at his weight as is, Sullinger would avoid any further injuries. I would like Sully to stay here. I know everyone is doubting him. But I'm prepared to give him an another chance if he does well. He seems like a good likable guy in the court room, and rarely starts any troubles except for dumb domestic issues and occasional tantrum issues.

He just needs to focus on getting a good body shape thats conductive to being fast enough to help on defense, and still be able to grab rebounds. I think his big butt is here to stay ;)
