The Grizzlies will trade for Sully before Saturday and win the title.

Boston will lead the East in scoring, top 5 in the league
Stevens will get tossed out of multiple games this season
Marcus Smart will not get tossed out of multiple games this season
Ainge will complete 3 trades or less this season
At least 6 Celtics players will average in double figures for the full season
The Nets pick will finish in the 12-17 draft range , in the 2018-19 season.

Cavs play at half strength all year and the C's end up taking the top seed in the East.

I guess my bold prediction is that Brooklyn will not suck.  I keep saying that I guess their pick will be in the 12-17 range.   Likewise, I think the Knicks can make the playoffs.  But I have no shortage of unpopular opinions that I'll eventually look stupid on...  So I'll just relay one from my dad...

He thinks Terry Rozier ends up our best PG.   In his mind, Rozier is our Rondo and Smart/Thomas are our Telfair/Delonte.   Rozier is at the bottom of the depth chart now, but my dad thinks by the end of the season Rozier will be the man at PG heading forward.  Lol

1. 52-30 (2nd in East) This team stays in almost every game and Brad is a superstar when the game is on the line.
2. Isaiah makes AS team as deep reserve and wins 6th man of the year
3. Both AB and Smart make an All Defense Squad
4. DLee comes up BIG to average 20-10-5
5. James Young cracks the rotation for 10 mins per game
6. Hunter makes All-Rookie Second team
7. Brooklyn is the 5th worst team but actually jumps up to the #3 pick. We draft Jaylen Brown and solve our Star/scoring/athleticism problem
8. Dallas does a bit better than expected but still doesnt make the playoffs. We get the #12 pick from them. We draft Jakob Poeltl there thus solving our center/rim protection problem.
9. Danny Trades AB, Turner, Sully, C's 2016 first, Conditional T Wolves 2016 and 2 second rounders for Demar Derozan (Raptors struggle early in the season. They dont wanna give Derozan the max and we'll have enough money to do so)
10. Team loses to Bucks in ECF in a close game 6

Starting Line up and the Beginning of the Year:

Smart
AB
Turner
Lee
Zeller

Key Bench Players:
IT
Hunter
Crowder
KO
Johnson
Sully (still kinda odd man out)

Starting Line up for the Playoffs:

Smart
Derozan
Crowder
KO
Zeller

Key Bench Players:
IT
Hunter
Young
Lee
Johnson
Young (Finds Spotty Minutes)
Rozier (Spark Plug)

Starting Line up Opening Night 2016:

Smart
Derozan
Jaylen Brown
KO
Zeller

Key Bench Players:
IT
Hunter
Young
Crowder
Poeltl (Starts by December)
Young
Rozier
How's that for Bold Predictions?  8)

What are some of your bold predictions? I see high win-total predictions and all-star predictions all over the forum but what else do you have?
- C's finish 9th in the East.  1 game behind Indy for the last playoff spot.  Comes down to last few days of the season to decide who gets the spot.
- IT gets 2nd for 6th man award
- Danny is unable to make a major deal at the trade deadline for an all-star quality player.  At most he moves either David Lee or Sully (and smaller pieces) to a team competing for the playoffs for a younger player (and parts) with some upside.  Trade doesn't really hurt team chemistry and actually helps Brad with player rotations.
- Marcus Smart makes 2nd team all-defense.  AB gets honorable mention.
- Brooklyn stinks up the league and gives us a top 5 pick (pre-lottery).
- Dallas also stinks it up but not enough to keep their pick from conveying to us.

DA trades IT, Sully and KO for Favors and a future first.
DA trades Turner, two 1st and two second round picks for H. Barnes
C's win 50 games
C's upset the ECF but lose 4 straight to OKC in the finals.
Nets win 2 pick in the lottery.

Edit: Picks of Barnes trade would be Own 1st 2016, Dallas 1st, Dallas 2nd, Wolves 2016 second.

Rozier one is a good "bold" prediction, as is your Nets one. I think both you and your old man will likely be proven wrong though (although I think it's more likely that Rozier is our best PG than the Nets pick isn't top 12).
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

The Nets finish with the worst record in the league but a change in lottery rules ends up sticking us with #17.

Agree with your dad in the long view, but I don't think it'll be this year unless Smart goes down with an injury or Bradley is traded.  If either of those happen Rozier will step in immediately as the starting PG (unless happens in the first couple months in which case Thomas gets some time as starter)

Without trade or injury I think it'll be Smart Bradley Turner all year this year.  That group led the Celtics to a great second half record without any rim protection backing them up.

I think the long term future is
Rozier
Smart
2016 draft stud SF or free agent/traded for star
