He does look like he belongs and then some.  Real victim of the loaded front court though.
Thing is though only one other member of that front court (the 4's & 5's I mean) can really defend. So maybe there's an opening once he gets more experience/minutes in Portland.

Brad will play Mickey at some pt imo.

With injuries to happens and the way mickey can play D , he will get min.

Also because we should expect a trade or two to happen by the deadline. Sully looks like a goner imo

Mickey might only be 6'7 but he plays much taller. The way he's able to stay upright on defense is impressive. Never slouches or slumps over. He also has a high release on his jumper on offense. I think he may be able to pull off being an effective undersized power forward.

Ben Wallace was only 6'7... He was still ok at shot blocking and rebounding.

what you mean ok? He was at one pt one of the best rebounders in the league.  He had a monster physique though and 7'4 wingspan (similar to mickey).

That's his point haha.

Anyway, yeah Mickey is 6'8" with shoes, but he looks much bigger out there at times. Feels like more of a 6'10" or 6'11" guy with his reach, vertical, etc.

anybody notice the chemistry that mickey and rj have
rj is always looking for cutters-hit mickey with a couple highlite passes in last two games and a alley opp as well as finding jerebko for a play of game  pass-

I'm still tempering my expectations for this season but I'm excited to have Mickey around for the future.

Mickey is going to be an awesome defender. When he is out there , guys take notice and don't want to drive in. This "scare" is very valuable tool. Best pnr defender on the team already

regardless of his preseason performance and the micky-love here, mickey is a rookie and the celtics front court is crowded. for at least the start of the season mickey would benefit from getting lots of playing time. and his best chance for that is to become a battling crustacean for a while.

all aboard for the maine express!  ;D

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
