Retardo mode engaged!  I did not click on the article because I feared the stupid would spread!

Let's be realistic, I don't see us as world beaters or as winning 50+ games.  But I can't see this updated roster and coaching making this team worse than last year.  I'll stick with my 40-45 wins and a late playoff seed prediction.

This beat writer broke the D'Angelo Russell to Lakers, but he obviously knows nothing about the rest of the NBA. These rankings are abysmal.

28th is a little low but I've been looking at depth charts and wouldn't be surprised if the Celtics missed the playoffs.  There's only four teams in the east that I think we're better then which are  Orlando, Philly, New York, and Brooklyn.  I don't see Miami collapsing like they did last year.  I see Carlotte having a better year by bringing in Batum and getting rid of Stephenson.  Indiana retooled their whole team by bringing in Ellis,  Turner,  Budinger and Jordan Hill.  A healthy Paul George could get them into the playoffs alone.  The Celtics will be right on the bubble again in the 7-10 range.

28th? That's too optimistic, that means we have a chance at the top 3 draft pick? Wow, so much for trying to tank in 2014 and get the 6th pick. No need to try so hard, just let BR guide you  ;D
On another note, you should know KG Living Legend better. You know his titles and how he makes everybody answer each post he creates.
There is a translation to be made underneath his excitement.
I read the title as "Hey, this Celtics team has a chance to win 50 games next season".
Don't be too harsh on semantic.  ;D
.

What are you trying to say man.

What I'm trying to say is that some people talk about your post as "there is no way the Celtics win less than 50 games". If we literally read the title, it's what you said, they are right. But I just wanted to make a point that you probably don't mean it that way. And that is the way you post.
No offense, I believe a big majority appreciate you for that, me included.

Wishful thinking. The Celtics won't tank. C's will have to rely on Nets for a high pick this year  :'(

Hopefully so Boston is better than last year and we were 7th in East. CBS is to good a coach for us not to at least get us to 8th. Our Second half was no fluke.

Bleacherreport is too much Hollywood for me.

I'd pay them no mind.

man that would be a dream come true. so long as Brooklyn finishes 30th to go with it. then we take Ben Simmons and use our next pick in an unorthodox move and claim THON MAKER's draft rights even though he has to play a year in college still and watch everyone's heads explode.  ultimately the league gives him to us when he becomes eligible cuz Danny was the first one to call 'dibs.' foolproof really

Which is more outlandish -- too talented to win fewer than 50 or 28th out of 30?
We were a bottom 10 team with a couple weeks left in the season. We overachieved. I don't know if it will happen again.  But bottom 3 seems a bit too low.  We should win at least 30 games.

In terms of pure talent, there's not a lot of teams worse.  But brad Stevens has proven he can win games regardless of the fact it's a bottom 5 roster on paper.

It's a bottom 5 roster if you're judging based on a comparison of the three or four best players on each team.

As Sean Grande put it, the Celts are a team with no entree but about 12 or 13 appetizers that are all roughly equivalent.  That'll be enough to win almost as many games as they lose, at the least.

this team doesn't really dictate its own fate when it comes to the standings. it's all a matter of the teams around them in the conference.

if the rest of the east is good then the C's will be in the lottery. if the east is bad they could be a 2 seed.

Celtics are not an impressive team on paper or as a playoff candidate because the lack of STAR names.  Based on this criteria ,  by somebody who knows little about basketball I guess you could come to this conclusion of,the BR.

As far as the regular season goes , the Celtics will be a very tuff out for all but about five teams , four of them out west.

There is too much high energy players , IQ , and Brad Stevens to loose less than 30 games .  The team is too deep for injury to effect it much .   Unlike say Clippers or Cavs where one or two players are the team .

I'd be totally shocked totally if Celtics loose less 35 games .

Celtics are who they are.....steady healthy players.....unlike the heat ,   If you look at each player .....there is pretty much major flaws with nearly all because of age or injuries .  On paper Heat look great ......but not sure they will live up to the hype.

Names like Bosh, Gasol, Noah , Rose ....mean nothing if they aren't 100 % .....old and broken players are only going to take you so far.   If they can make it 82 to games.

Stars win in the NBA, ensemble movies work, ensemble teams sometimes work, but stars usually win the rings.  Talent has always been the trump card in the NBA.  Teamplay can work but has never been the recipe for success in the NBA.   The guy who used the Spurs as an example probably does not realize they have three HOF on that team maybe more when Leonard is done.

I think we will absolutely outplay other teams.

Don't temp karma, dude.  Don't curse us.

Their guys have major flaws because of age or injury.   Our guys just have the  flaws without injuries too and Ainge did not pick high enough to get an all around guy.   Lee can board and score but can't play D,  Sully and KO are slow and unathletic,  Mickey is short, Young is young, Smart can't shoot, AB can't ball handle, Amir has bad ankles, Turner is a retread, Hunter lacks lateral speed, I can go on on and on.

We certainly did not last year because other teams were tanking.

That being said, I do not think we are the 28th worst team.   I see us around 17-21 if you take West Coast teams who play superior talent who didn't make the playoffs.  The East is weak.
