I'm glad Danny is still making all the right moves. I mean it was for a 2nd round pick!! We couldn't have traded one of our 2nd round picks in this last draft for him???

Well at least the Blazers are making all the right moves for a team in a rebuild.

I think Harkless should start for Portland ahead of Aminu next year.

Has it occurred to you that the Blazers 2nd now has a higher value than the same pick from Celtics? Or would you have traded a first for him?

Does it occur to you that we had a relatively high 2nd round pick this last year and had a gaping hole at the SF position?

You ever think maybe DA has a plan on getting a better SF just because he didn't jump on Harkless for a 2nd round pick. I mean the guy didn't even average 4 ppg last season, and less than 7 for his, while be it short career. He's a below average 3pt and poor FT shooter, not the best guy for Stevens system moving forward that complements Smart.

He could turn into a nice player, but we have enough projects on this team right now.

Wow, this is truly meaningless as Mo had an 8.4 PER last year.  That is slightly more than 50% of the average (15 PER) in the NBA.

P.S.  In other words, who cares.  (That being said, I do hope that Mo improves, as he clearly needs to if he wants to stay in the NBA.)

Harkless may not have been available at draft. In the interim, Magic drafted Hezonja and resigned Harris. And I'd rather have Jordan Mickey.

Harkless is garbage. An athletic, unskilled 3. Put the names of every starting 3 from the D League in on a dartboard, put on a blindfold and throw a dart. The first one you hit will give you the same production you would get from Moe.

Marginally skilled athletic wings are THE least valuable commodity in The League.

I would have liked Harkless on the C's but I'm fine with the roster how it is now.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Third year guy playing less than 10 mpg whose PT has gone every year and who was given away for peanuts.

The Celts already have a second string small forward with poor shooting locked up long term.  The goal is to find a potential starter, not another backup.  Harkless has better physical tools than Crowder, but he's not nearly as good now and may never be any better.

Would love to see the Celts find a better solution than Evan Turner at SF, but at this point it kinda seems like the cupboard leaguewide is bare at that position.  Finding a difference maker at that position is tough and the teams that have one aren't going to give 'em up.

Silly, don't you know that we don't have PGs or PFs anymore.

In CBS land, we ONLY have 4 positions, ball handlers, wings, swings and bigs. All with versatility.

Great in theory. Having a lot of depth is great, but you can't build a champion in the NBA with 15 guys who would be 6-11 on a strong contender's depth chart. Never been done.

This doesn't make any sense. Celtics have Phillys 2nd rounder next year. Probably the most valuable 2nd rounder in the NBA. Or we could have offered two 2nd rounders. We have a lot of picks, so don't just assume because we might be better than the blazers that we have to give them a 1st rounder.
