he didn't exactly hurt Houston, at all. In fact, their season would have ended a lot earlier if it was not for him. I get that it is entertaining, but how is them getting the most talented remaining free agent a bad thing for the kings?

I think McHale realizes he got all the GOOD Josh Smith stuff he could possibly get...he will once again regress and be BAD Josh Smith---so, Houston won't be sad to see him go I bet.

They already have a lot of big locker room 'presences' on the team. One more swollen ego is going to push them closer to the brink of chaos.

I agree.  Smith played well for the rockets last year, and was able to play well with Howard.  If the Kings can make it happen and not overpay for Smith it would be a good find.  He makes them more versatile because he can play the 4 with Gay at the 3.  He is an athletic big to pair with Cousins, although he isn't a great 3 point shooter.

He seemed like he started to limit his bad shot selection last year, or at least a bit in the games I saw.  Maybe KM helped out with that? 

I think the kings will be fun to watch.

We forget these guys are all young men. I think Smith was happy because he was playing with and occasionally throwing lobs to his good friend. In Sacramento he gets to play with a really close friend of his (rondo) that he has wanted to play with for years. I think he may also be friends with Gay. Having a couple of your close friends on a team can do wonders for chemistry.

Yeah I agree.  Both Rondo and Smith are kind of reclamation projects at this point.  Working together and helping the kings have a good season will do wonders for their value if they can manage it.

I think he's staying in Houston. Money won't be an issue for him and playing next to a good friend won't be a problem either in Houston considering he was Dwight Howard's best man at his wedding. I think Smith wants to be part of something special in Houston, not be on something potentially chaotic in Sactown. Amongst all his downsides, Smoove made Houston better last season.

Even if it's still not enough to put the Rockets over the top, it does make them better. I'm surprised he hasn't had a bigger market after his performance in this years playoffs.

I don't care who ends up on Sacto as long as they have a good team to have another road block for the Mavs to fight and miss the playoffs.

I could see them scoring the most point in the NBA this season if they get smith. Karl wants to run and gun, literally second half of the season they weren't even rebounding everyone was running to the other side. I believe they will be deadly this year. Could surprise some people IF everyone gels.
