Last year when the C's were making the playoffs with a group of rookies and cast off players, everyone was "having fun" Danny was a great GM.

Now just because you "can't see the forest through the trees", it's fire Ainge.

Calm down.

ummm this team didn't start playing well until Bass, Crowder and Prince were infused into the line up. Bass was on the bench until KO got injured, Crowder and Prince via trade. all veterans, with the exception of crowder.

the point is, don't make it seem like this team made the playoffs because of the young guys. it was the veteran players and the state of the east why this team made the playoffs.

It's the first day of free agency. People need to calm down.

Ainge is a solid GM.

well, if free agency ends and Aldridge and or Gasol aren't on this team(and they won't be) does this mean everyone else will come around?

This team got stuck with Amir Johnson! Ha! Now can we all agree finally that the only way to do this is tank? No trade assets and no talent on the roster. If Ainge and Stevens aren't on board to tank then there is the door.

I could say the same for you.

If you want to see teams tank then go become a 76ers fan...

so you'd rather wait around and try our luck with picks later in the 1st rnd. outside of the lottery?

because the draft is our only option. everyone says "trade, trade, trade". but with what? late 1st rnd. picks outside of the lottery?

While I think you could make a strong argument for firing Ainge, doing so during the hottest FA period would be just about the worst time to do it.  I get the tongue in cheek nature of that demand, but I think it ignores the reality of just how reasonable an argument can be made for firing Ainge.

Why because you disagree with what he's doing?  This is the issue with fans like this and why Ainge should most definately not be fired.

I like what he's doing. Makes perfect sense to me.

REALLY????

I'm reading all the things people can come up, trade assets, chips, expiring, next year ....

I feel like I'm listening to right wing radio telling me "don't tax the job creators"  :-X

Here it is, the official fire Ainge thread. There have been others, of course... but the time is now.

Not only is he ruining this franchise, we have no reason to believe that he isn't doing this purposefully. That's right... no one mentions this, but it's the elephant in the room: Danny wants us to fail, because he's a failure, and he wants to bring us down with him!!!

This is a sick man. And while we ought not to judge, it is hard to believe Ainge does not drink to get drunk. That is my hypothesis as to the issue here... Ainge cannot get off the sauce, and he's drowning us with his **** sorrows!

FIRE THIS MAN!!!! GET OUT!!! SICK PUPPY.

Comedy gold writing. I laughed. I mean, Ainge is a Mormon, for crying out loud!

I suppose if the Patriots fire (or he quits or the league suspends) Bill Belichick we could bring him in for an interview. Other than that I'm not seeing the proven commodities that would replace Ainge.

Felger and Maz have been trying to say for about 3 days Ainge is overrated and he only have one ring to show for 13 years.

Sooooooo much context left out. For one thing it's not like he took over some great team. Then he missed on Durant and Oden (he didn't get a bone like Popovich), and now that a fantastic run is over he is rebuilding. Had the guts to pull the trigger on the Nets trade and has us sitting with a massive amount of assets.

Oh...and who hired the best coach in the league two years ago? Ainge did.

And now this team of nobodies is a playoff team.  Hey Felger and Maz. Go f yourselves and don't leave your day jobs.

Not sure what that means. Aldridge & Gasol were never expected to sign with Boston. Celtics were in the hunt for Tier B FA like Greg Monroe & Tobias Harris.

I'm positive Ainge will manufacture a trade before the season starts to balance the roster and put Boston in a competitive position.

We really do have a lot of short sighted basketball dumb fans.

Luckily Ainge doesn't run the club like some of these fans would want.

We'd end up being a NY or Brooklyn like basketcase in one season under their direction.

Ainge is in Boston. The only three things he can do wrong is win too many games, lose too many games, and not win a championship. Ainge understands this. It's why he's here. He's not here because he thought it would be easy and Stevens is the same way.

Stevens is not the best coach in the NBA.

As for Ainge, hit and miss.
