If from what i hear is true and the Lakers are really willing to give up Randle and the number 2 pick then saying the Celtics have the most to offer is absurd.

if Karl's intends to chase the career wins record, why would he trade a perennial all star within the division for two rookies?  he'll only manage to rack up like 40 wins over the next two years.

my guess is he prefers the Denver deal, to get his boy Lawson.  and if this is in fact true, then the C's are in a good spot to make that into a 3-teamer & make it rain draft picks for both Denver and Sac.  who says no to that scenario?

Yes, we know. The debate is if the quantity of those assets has any significant bearing on their quality. Celtics fans might remember that the Wolves chose Cleveland's deal over Boston's likely larger package primarily because the Cavs were offering the first overall pick, whereas the Celtics weren't.
Good point. Also the short term aims of the Celtics and the short term aims of the Kings could be (and almost certainly are) different, which has an effect on how valuable various assets are to each team.

I think the logical route is the picks and pieces, say Sullinger or Bradley, go to Denver (who is in full rebuild mode), Cousins goes to Boston, Faried, Lawson, and Sullinger or Zeller go to Sacramento.

I don't think that Ranadive can be counted on for logic, or to let his front office make logical moves.

we don't have enough for the crybaby.   Lakers or Nuggets are ahead . Either #2 or Lawson and Faried look alot more attractive

Yeah, Paul Pierce is such a crybaby. Oh wait, you're talking about DeMarcus Cousins, the 4827294th NBA star who is displeased with the talent around him.

If "most" here simply means the actual number of assets that could be included in a deal, then the article's assertion is correct.

That's not really what that word typically means in the context of NBA trades, however.

It's a simple matter of quality or quantity.

The most recent instance of this being true does not make this universally and absolutely true.

No but it's a pretty safe bet.  We can put on the green goggles and try to think otherwise.  I have to think most GMs in this league are looking at maximizing return from a quality standpoint & not necessarily a quantity standpoint.

?? What does he have to cry about?

The Kings had PAtterson (his buddy) and Vazquez. They were mediocre playing with Cousins.  Both get traded to Toronto and play alot better.

The Kings get an All Star or borderline All star in Gay in return but it does not matter.  These days 2 key players should help your team get far.  You draft a good talent like Mclemore. Does not matter.   Cousin can't help others become better. Some of the fault is on him

People here make Cousin sound like he is near Lebron's level or something. So if he is , he can make others better and propel the team to another level.  right?

Context is everything here.

"The team that can offer the most in terms of future assets for Cousins is the Boston Celtics..."

SAC doesn't want what we have to offer. We are buyers with the wrong type of currency.

how about this one?

Nuggets get Bradley, Stauskas, 16, 28, 33.  Kings get Lawson, Faried, Smart, Olynyk, Wallace plus two future firsts.  Celts get both Rudy and DMC.

That's a garbage return for Lawson and Faried

That's precisely what people used to say about KG, and we know what he can do with some help.

If I were to start a trade package for Cousins I'd maybe start with KO and Sully, figure out what picks to throw in from there, and hope Love or Aldridge come through the back door in free agency.  If they don't come re-sign Bass as our starting PF and figure out the rest later.

Is there anyone in the Cs FO that has a daughter as hot as Anjali Ranadive? We've got a fighting shot if so.
